This choice: Comic Books or Graphic Novels • Go Back...Chapter #3Comic Books or Graphic Novels by: ejones312 Since the early 1920's, comic strips were printed in the newspapers for entertainment. As the years rolled by, the comic strips eventually earned their own comic book magazine, and the earliest big comic book company to emerge was DC Comics. In the early 1960's, the first Fantastic Four comic issue marked the debut of Marvel Comics. These two major comic book companies have become two of the biggest names in the comic book history, creating iconic heroes, villains, and influential storylines.
Other major comic book companies, while overshadowed by the competitiveness of DC and Marvel, have published their own iconic comic books as well, such as Archie from Archie Comics, and Spawn and Invincible from Image Comics to name a few.
For the sake of argument and variety within the Comic Books route, which of these comic book companies will you choose?
DC Comics (featuring Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and the Justice League)
Marvel (featuring Spider-Man, The Avengers, The Fantastic Four, and the X-Men)
Image Comics (featuring Spawn, Youngblood, etc.)
-or-
Archie Comics (featuring Archie, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Josie and the Pussycats) indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
