Already Tony could feel the effects of the drug. He felt light-headed and feverish. He would likely start shrinking soon.
“Oh dear, you’re burning up.” Betty said as she looked down at Tony. “Let’s get you back to bed.” She added as she quickly put Tony under the covers and tucked him him.
“Mom… please get...” Tony rasped out; he could feel the medicine in his stomach start to bubble.
“SHHH.” Betty silenced him. “You just close your eyes and take a nap. I’ll come check on you in a bit.” She said as she turned and left.
“No… wait.”
The bedroom door was shut with a clunk as Tony found himself alone in his room.
Then he started to shrink.
“NO! PLEASE NO!” He shouted to no avail as he was already less than a foot tall.
…7 inches…
…3 inches…
…1 inch…
…1/2 inch…
Tony’s head spun as the world around him seemed to expand in every direction and his heart beat in his chest as he realized that he was now bug size.
The 6-year-old boy could only stare out onto the expanse that was his race car bed in awe and fear as he wondered what he should do.
Tony’s awe is enough to have him explore his room or even try to find his mother or sister for help.
Tony’s fear causes Tony to breakdown and start crying eventually causing him to fall asleep until he is awoken by someone coming into his room.
