What other sort of bizarre do hickeys could Wonka have invented?
Liquifying massager: Knowing how stressful everyday can be, Wonk thought he could invent a massager to help people work those tense muscles with his nifty little device. Unfortunately he was too successful and people who experience the bliss of this handheld massager often find themselves melting away.
Personal Tamagotchi: Being enamored by the little device known as a Tamagotchi, he decided to create a version himself. Only this one wouldn't merely be the simple collection of pixels, the creature inside would be an actual human that the owner could talk to and interact with. They would have a larger array of activities they could partake in like clothes shopping and various sports. They would even be able to customize the little guy's body to suit their preference, even change their genders. Unfortunately, Wonka could never figure out how to program a sophisticated enough A.I. to interact with. He did experiment with sending people in to get better data, but it ultimately proved futile. Now the device lays dormant and empty without a soul inside, also any changes made inside the device carry over when the person is retrieved.
Infini-lium: Wonka saw how disappointed children were when they saw their ballons slowly deflate over time, so he created Infini-lium. This unique element could be used to keep balloons floating indefinitely. The problems came in when people would suck in the Infini-lium to make their voices higher and sillier. Their voices took days to return to normal as the Infini-lium would eventually be diluted by the oxygen in their blood. not only that, but people who inhaled it would act sillier due to the effects on the brain as well. It's a good thing no one ever tried to pump the air anywhere else inside themselves, who knows if the inflated proportions would ever return to normal?
Silliest Putty: Wonka's own unique brand of silly putty that never got dirty, never lost it's adhesive quality, and never hardened. He had hoped this would lead to a lifetime of fun for all the children, but the putty unfortunately was a bit too toxic. By toxic, it had the unfortunate consequence of fusing with people who were exposed to the substance for too long and would end up as a mound of sentient putty. A skilled artist could return the person back to their former form but could also just as easily sculpt them into whatever else they wanted.
