How about Puppeteering? It's similar to possession but instead of straight up inhabiting another form, the puppeteer can... well, puppeteer their target! Perhaps with enough skill (or enough happy accidents!) the puppeteer is able to switch back and forth between 'puppets' or even control multiple at a time!
