A 'Venom' symbiote.

New idea. What if an accident or an encounter with someone or something extra-terrestrial causes one of the story's characters who change into an amorphous, black liquid-like symbiote that can possess people, take them over and optionally morph their bodies or body parts into those of other people it has possessed?

The person could lose their own body permanently or optionally be able to morph back into themselves at any point, even while inside a host. A perfect example of this symbiote being would from the movie 'Venom' and it's sequel.
