Author’s note: this is intended to provide alternate options for the previous chapter, also it was my intention that they swap all their clothes in order to escape
Olivia and Simon walked around the fair for a while going on multiple rides that ranged from mediocre, to downright boring, disappointing the both of them, Simon then decided to drag Olivia around the park looking for something that could be fun and entertaining. Though Olivia wasn’t as happy about wandering as her feet where killing her as she walked in her black high heels.
She always hated wearing them but Simon always loved seeing her in heels and so she would usually just swallow her pride to make him happy, though she wished that Simon would be kind enough to have the same decency for her every once in a while, as it seemed to her that she was always being dragged to whatever Simon wanted but never what she wanted.
Eventually after ten minutes of walking Olivia’s feet were killing her. “Simon can we please sit down my feet are killing me and I can’t be bothered walking anymore?” Begged a exhausted Olivia who couldn’t be bothered walking one more step.
However Simon wasn’t interested as he began to stare at a mysterious and ominous building. “Awe come on babe, look there’s an escape room there and there isn’t a cue for it at all”. He retaliated as Olivia found herself growing more annoyed with Simon.
“But Simon my feet hurt.” She pleaded, however Simon wasn’t listening as he dragged her to her feet saying that “the escape room will probably have a chair in it or something just come on.”
Olivia and Simon then walked up to see a women dressed like a magician being the tickets saleslady.
“Hello there Olivia and Simon I see you wish to enter my escape room.” She said shocking the both of them.
“How do you know our names?” Olivia asked now more worried about entering the room now.
“Magic my dear, I see your feet are killing you, well don’t worry once you two escape my room I promise you the boot will be on the other foot.” She said laughing as she said it. Confusing Simon and Olivia, who was already fed up with the fair.
When they entered the room the door they entered from locked behind them, with the only door being left was the door in front of them.
Simon instantly tried the handle to it but to no avail as it remained shut, Olivia meanwhile looked around at the room they were in, it was filed to the brim with shoe boxes and racks of high heels and sneakers.
“What should we do first?” Asked Olivia knowing that Simon had already thought of a plan she was going to be forced to follow no matter what.
And Simon didn’t hesitate to suggest his plan as he confidently blurted out. “Open up the shoeboxes their might be a clue in one of them.
Olivia then sighed as she searched shoe box after shoebox only to come up empty each time. Eventually though Simon found a clue to which he was extremely happy about.
“Oh yeah this is great I’m breezing through this escape room easy peasy, and now- wait what no that can’t be right?” He said with a look of embarrassment on his face as Olivia decided to take a glance at the clue that was a piece of paper with a message on it.
Olivia then read the message and felt a smug grin appear on her face. ‘If you wish to leave this room too, simply walk a mile in each other’s shoes’.
Olivia knew what the message meant as did Simon, who blushed at the thought of changing his white trainers out for Olivia’s heels. Could he really go through with it Simon decided too....
