Katie Willis is your typical ten year old social butterfly. She has long black hair and a cute face. She loves talking to people and loves making new friends at school. Her parents might not be that attentive but Katie has a secret weapon to keep herself entertained.
Katie, unlike most girls her age, still played with dolls. When she was 5, Katie got a really fancy dollhouse for Christmas and since then she has been adding new dolls every few months to join her little playgroup. Each one Katie considered her cute friend, there was something about the tiny women that fascinated Katie and made her feel warm and fuzzy inside.
As much as Katie liked her friends and dolls, she felt she was missing something deeper in her life. She was soon going to find out what that was.
On an average Friday at school, Katie was enjoying recess after lunch playing tag with her friends, as they finished the game the young girl saw her shoe was untied. She bent down to tie her shoe when she spotted something moving in the grass.
“Huh? What’s that?” She peered down towards the grass and saw a tiny person trying to run. “Oh my gosh! A human doll!”
Katie used all of her energy and quickness to trap the running tiny.
Katie almost couldn’t believe it. She had caught a miniature person and she could feel her squirming in her closed hands while squeaking “Let me go! Let me go!” By the sound of it it was a woman’s voice and not wanting to hurt her Katie opened up her hands so that she could see the tiny person she had found.
When she opened her hands, sitting down on in her cupped hands was a five inch tall...
