Frisk.
This was your name, but no one ever called you that anymore. Ever since your growth spurt kicked in just a scant few years ago, everyone just called you the “gentle giant.”
That was fair…
A twelve foot child with a kind demeanor and a knack for hugging people? How apt...
Anyway, on this fine day you had decided to go for a small walk through the forest near Mount Ebott. The forest was a calm and peaceful place, so you liked to go for a stroll there frequently. You had been doing this for so long, you had come to know this place like the back of your hand.
Or at least you liked to think so.
Cause the hole you just fell into said otherwise. Shrugging off what was surely a long fall, you couldn’t help but feel dumb for taking your eyes off the road.
Surely driving wouldn’t be this troublesome, right?
Looking around, you noticed that you were in a dark cave of sorts surrounded by crumbling ruins. The violet bricks that made up these structures lit up the otherwise dark cave.
Gathering your wits, you got back on your feet and walked towards a large stone gate. You had to duck a little to get past. The gate might’ve been big for an ordinary adult, but for you it was just too small.
After stumbling around in the dark for a bit, you noticed a beam of light shining upon a small yellow flower.
...that had a face.
The flower stared at you with a befuddled look on his face.
“… golly, you’re a big fella aren’t ch’a?” the flower gaped.
“A-anyway! My name’s Flowey! Flowey the Flower!”
“And this!” Flowey moved his face around, gesturing at the cave, “Is the underground! You’re clearly new to this place, so don’t worry! I’ll everything there is to know about this place!”
Suddenly, the world grew just a bit darker and a bright red heart appeared from your chest. It was bright and radiated warmth.
“See that? That is your Soul! The very culmination of your being! It’s weak now, but if you gain a lot of LV it’ll become stronger!”
LV…?
“Ah right! LV stands for LOVE!.” Flowey clarified. “You want some love don’t you?”
“Here!”
Suddenly, dozens of small white pellets appeared around Flowey. They lazily orbited the flower, spinning in place.
“These are friendliness pellets! And within each one is a small sliver of LOVE! You want some LOVE don’t you? Go ahead, catch some!”
Taking Flowey’s advice, you moved towards one of the “friendliness pellets” that he launched. Instead of LOVE however, you felt as though you had stepped on a LEGO brick and someone moved the pain to your chest. In other words;
“...ow.”
It hurt. Like a lot. But the pain was easy to shrug off. Flowey didn’t look to happy about that though.
“One?” the flower cursed. “Only ONE point of damage?! YOU SHOULD BE DYING RIGHT NOW! How the hell are you so durable?”
With a scowl on his face, Flowey summoned a LOT more of those pellets.
“Fine! Try surviving this!”
With a small frown on your face, you put your arms up this time to block. But that turned out to be unnecessary—a ball of flame suddenly struck Flowey. The flower let out a small yelp before he was launched away, taking his unfriendly pellets with him.
“What a horrible…” a tall (but not taller than you) goat lady trailed off, walking out of the shadows. Like Flowey, she was also surprised by your abnormal height.
“… my child, you are much too tall for someone your age!”
With a firm but gentle grip, she grabbed your hand and pulled you along.
“Come with me child, this place is not safe for you. Your size makes you a big target for those who would do you harm!”
Without a word, you followed the goat lady through the strangely well-lit ruins.
