The item wasn’t made by a luxury brand but appeared to be valuable.
“I think I can still be recognized with a watch,” said Nick with sarcasm.
“If only you knew its properties, you wouldn’t say that,” the goat answered with a mysterious tone.
“Try convincing me,” the fox replied, skeptical.
“Ok, Mr. Wilde. This watch has three crowns: one to change time, another for the chronometer, and the last one is… very special!” Stephanie said excitedly.
She explained to her fox customer that the watch allowed the owner to turn into a ghost by pressing the third crown. The user could therefore enjoy a ghost’s abilities like taking over someone’s body or turning invisible.
Nick was doubtful concerning Stephanie’s item. However, if she were telling the truth, this watch would be very useful for the investigation and make his life more interesting.
Indeed, he could become whoever he wanted.
“You are really persuasive,” the fox said.
“It’s my job after all. And to be more convincing, I offer you this watch for free,” replied Stephanie, laughing.
Nick was pleased with his good deal. He knew he would come back to this shop someday.
He then left and decided to try the watch and its ghost powers on…
