She was getting a bit annoyed of how her experiment is going as she wasn't expecting the device to have as much of an affect on living beings than inanimate objects, wondering how much depended on her calculations or if Alex's fumbling with the device has something to do with. Either way, its clear that she needs to do more test on a live subject, and right now Alex is providing the most data to her, so at least she has some ideas of the shrinking device's capability. That said, the experiment is going to prove prove a slight dead end if she can't see the small boy properly to at least monitor him more as she furthers her experiment, not unless she wishes to use another live test subject. The thought is rather tempting, considering it would be vastly easier to just ignore Alex's existence and grab some poor chump from the hallways and make them her next guinea pig, but considering the amount of time Alex has help her experiments in the short time he's been here, unwillingly of course, while everyone else stir clears from her, Diana figures that keeping Alex around will be far more promising to her experiment in the long run. Works better for her as at least she doesn't want to drag too much attention on her and her experiments if she just grabs any student willy nilly and move on to the next student to experiment on in case something similar happens to them. Diana thought a bit of how she's going to proceed next with this session of her device as she taps her finger, rather uncomfortably close to where Alex is.
Meanwhile, Alex is just trying his hardest to not panic and not move from the spot, fear petrifying the boy from seeing the massive giantess's looming body shrouding his horizon while her mountain range hand lays nearby, miles in the distance to the boy while one of her fingers is tapping the world, sending earthquakes to the boy as he tries to not bounce around. After a bit, Alex hears a thunderous sigh from high above, and seeing Diana thinking before her thunderous voice pounds on him.
"Hold still Alex, I'm going to fetch something really quick." Diana says as she starts turning around, Alex shaken from the sight as Diana was like a living continent as her movements were slow, yet felt powerful as her foot slams the floor and creating a loud explosion miles below that was strong enough for Alex to feel them. Winds could be felt from the titanic student as her movement was creating a series of whirlwind that knock Alex around a bit. While Alex tries to not be moved around, he watch Diana move miles away to one of the tables where she pulls a small backpack from it, she looks around it for a bit before grabbing something, some pair of odd looking glasses. The glasses look slightly like a regular glasses, but they also look like somebody install a small computer component to the lens, making the lens look a bit thick while looking a bit like a binocular. Diana puts the glasses on as she makes her way back to Alex's location. Alex gulp as she leans in close, her face feeling like the moon in presence and size as she adjust her glasses, with one of her hands holding the thing as her thumb and finger moves the lens a bit, a loud mechanical noise can be heard to him. Before Alex knows it, Diana's voice rumbles the air as he had to cover his ears a bit for how close her face is.
"There you are." Diana says, he seeing the tiny, pitiful speck from the magnifying glass more clearly with these glasses. "Figure something like this would happen, made this thing in case I was wanting to try this thing in my room. Defiantly more handy to use than a regular microscope." She says, seeing Alex more clearly while also seeing her voice can be rather harsh to the boy's hearing, though that doesn't seem to stop her from speaking in her regular tone. While Alex was trying to cover his ears, he felt a rumble in the air and looks to see Diana moving one of her other hands, one of the massive digits heading right near Alex's location that he panics as he tries to run from the location. The boy ran as fast as he can as the finger tip continues its course until finall making contact, landing dangerously close to Alex's location that if he didn't moved, he probably would've been right underneath the nail or finger tip. "Oops, sorry, should mentioned that I did just made this thing an hour prior, didn't had a chance to make sure adjustments are correct." Diana says in her usual stoic voice, adjusting her glasses a bit more. While Alex real hope that was a genuine apology and not her being her, he felt the finger roll a bit, he watches as the chocolate like color mountain of skin turns until finally Diana's fingernail is laying on its back for it to loom over Alex. Alex was intimidated from the sight before he was shaken up from Diana's voice. "Well, are you climb on or do you prefer staying on this counter for the rest of the night?" She says as she looks at Alex, making him feel like he doesn't have much of a choice of this.
Diana watches for what felt like forever as Alex struggles to climb the giantess's nail, her fingernails being shockingly well maintain considering the fact Diana seems to focus more on tinkering with her devices and inventions than making her nails looking well manicure. Alex wasn't the greatest athlete on the planet, he's pretty average all things consider, but trying to climb Diana's nail was like trying to scale a cliff that is made of smooth glass with your bare hand. Its only with the most microscopic of imperfections on the nail that Alex manages to make any form of progress. After a while, the poor boy manages to finally climb to the top of the nail, exhausted and arms feeling very sore.
"Three minutes and fifty seven seconds, you climbing abilities need some serious work, Alex." Diana says, Alex not sure if she is making fun of him, scolding his lack of athleticism, or actually telling him to work out. That didn't matter as Alex felt the world rumble all around him, his body slowly sliding at a direction before he realizes that Diana is moving her finger a bit, forcing the boy to land right on the middle of her fingertip, rather roughly. Alex manages to get a face full of soft squishy skin softening his fall as he looks around, seeing many valleys and hills that are no doubt are Diana's fingerprints, just so massive to Alex that he feels like he could get lost if he fell into one of the prints. That said, who knows if that maybe one of Diana's plans latter as Alex looks up to see Diana's looming face covering his whole sky, with her eyes looking right at him.
"Well, its clear that my device is still in desperate need of further experiments if I want to figure out what is going on with these strange miscalculation and why the device is shrinking you more than it should be able to." Diana says, placing one of her hands on her hip and holding the other hand close to her face as she looks at the microscopic boy on her finger. "Until then, Alex, you will not only be remaining at that size but as of right now, you will be staying with me at all times until its time to grow you back. Or until we go to my room and I make a stronger magnifying lens to easily spot you and we can safely resume testing."
This made Alex feel ill, the thought of being this microscopic for who knows how long and him stuck with the very person that not only made the device that shrunk him but also used said device to shrink him again, needless to say Alex didn't like the idea. "Please, Diana, don't leave me like this!" Alex tries shouting out to Diana, but even he has to know that at his size, the titanic giantess has a better chance hearing a ant scream than him. Still, that doesn't stop Diana from noticing Alex's distress, and her being rather annoyed as she speaks again.
"Judging from your pitiful little flailing, you wish for me to grow you back." Diana says, seeing Alex nod. "In case you seem to forget, Alex, the device has not only shrunken you more than I have anticipated, but done it twice that its clear to me that any further size experimenting on you might lead to disastrous results for you without proper equipment to keep an eye on you, tempting as it is for me to continue seeing the limit this thing can do right this second. On top of that, I have not tested out the growth feature on the device at all to the point that I have no idea if the growth setting will even work or it could turn you into paste. In fact, the growth feature might not even work period and the device is just a shrink ray where if I try the growth beam on you, you may end up shrinking to nanoscopic size where I will not be able to find you at all and you'll be doom to stuck at whatever size the device shrunk you at. So I rather not lose my only test subject from some hastily attempt to grow you back until I can safely assure you will be restore to normal size without any major issues or further dangerous risks. Of course, unless you really want to risk shrinking to such a minuscule size and spend the rest of your life as nothing more than an molecular particle size speck forever stuck on my fingertips." She says as she brings up the shrinking device close to her head for Alex to see, making Alex sweating bullets from Diana's words. "Think rather carefully, Alex, cause if you do shrink any further, don't expect me to waste my valuable time in trying to discover you and attempt to restore your size afterward." She says, making it sounds like Alex has choice that she wants to make a point of the potential consequences of sad choice.
