John's mom watched John flail his hand around, waving the paperweight around as if he was trying to throw it.
"What the heck are you doing? Give me that before you break something!" John's mom yelled. She grabbed the weight with her left hand and tugged it out of his hand, or at least she tried. When she tugged, she found John wouldn't let go. "Why are you holding on to this so tightly?" His mom asked.
"I'm not trying too. My hand is stuck!" John exclaimed, "I found this stupid glue earlier, but I didn't think it would do anything!"
"You glued your hand to a rock?" John's mom asked, completely dumbfounded as to how he thought this was a good idea. "Well, figure this out." She went to go back to making dinner but found that her hand was now stuck to the weight too.
The two of them stopped and looked at each other for a second, both feeling a sense of panic washing over them. They pulled and pulled, but neither could get even a centimeter of freedom.
"This can NOT be happening!" John exclaimed, "glued to my MOM!" He pulled more, but it made no difference.
"Well you got us into this mess, get us out of it!" John's mom shouted, not in the mood to deal with this.
"I can go look at the tube, maybe there's something on there about removing the glue." John explained.
