Peridot was in an old barn that she had refurbished to act as a research station. She is currently sitting at a workdesk, fiddling with an alien doodad. She is distracted from her work when a timer begins beeping nearby. "A full 24 earth hours, or one complete rotation around the axis have passed" She proclaims to a small recorder. "The testing phase is complete, now to collect data..." she said, as she began removing her shoe.
You jump out and grab the edge the moment she removes her foot, gasping for air. After a whole day shoved in her boot, finally seeing light again and drawing breaths of fresh air was a bliss. "I see you still display vital signs. Tell me, E-22, How are you feeling right now?" she said as she lowered the large recorder down to your still dazed and panting form.
"I feel like shit" You bluntly and honestly answer.
Peridot frowns. "I'll have to delete that part later. Please do be more descriptive, or would you like to conduct the experiment again but for 2 rotations?" Peridot practically threatened you. You sigh and say "My body is overall tense and bruised from high pressure and blunt force trauma, caused by your constant pacing around. Breathing is restricted due to prolonged exposure to low levels of oxygen and noxious fumes... again a product of your constant pacing around. Body temperature is abnormally high, as well as sweat production... please refer to the first two causes...
Happy now?"
"An acceptable answer" Peridot said as she stopped the recorder and plucked you out.
"What was even the point of this test?" You ask.
"To test human endurance, and also to determine if humans make for comfortable insoles. The answer is "yes" for now, but we will require further testing..." Peridot replied.
