You'd have likely expired by now too, had your owner not discovered a way to assimilate you into her gem. Apparently she isn't supposed to be able to do that, but you weren't about to complain since it was the only thing keeping you alive. What you could complain about were the various tests she was performing on you. She seemed to have gotten awful careless and bold, knowing she could easily be able to bring you back in your base form.
Ever since you came into her possession, you've noticed your body changing. For starters your skin now has a less than healthy looking green tint to it, which probably isn't from any of the tests Peridot has conducted on you. Your hair has also grown to be a more silvery white compared to the original brown, plus it stands up in a weird way on it's own. Most curiously you seem to be getting shorter, despite Peridot insisting she's made no alterations to your base height at any point. Worst of all: Peridot's insatiable hunger for knowledge and experimentation seems to be rubbing off on you...
