Chapter #3The ideal subject by: Jaxi It was clear that the best way to get your ring back was to go in and get it yourself, and the safest way to do that was to have your mother be fully accepting and aware so she can trigger an emergency evacuation if it all goes belly up. This was certainly going to be a fundamental increase in participation for Trina and you didn’t have the luxury of gradually warming her up to the idea as your ring would journey beyond reach before long.
You enter the living room where you correctly predicted the location of your mother. She was lounging back on the couch and had now dressed herself in some tight blue jeans and a white vest top that didn’t quite cover her long torso.
To your surprise, she was clearly dealing with some uncomfortable digestive troubles. Her normally toned stomach looked bloated and she was deliberately protruding it out between her vest and pants. Both of her hands were caressing the swollen mass, like she was trying to calm a beast within back to its slumber.
“Are you alright mom?” You eventually ask, pretending you’d not been observing her for a solid minute. “Oh.? Oh yes sweetheart, may have over done it a little on the pancakes today that’s all.” She answered you without even looking away from her exposed belly, she then turned to you with a suggestive smile “or maybe that ring of yours is causing me some aggro?” From her tone and animated expression it was almost like she was proud of herself for swallowing it. You were already surprised and maybe a little irritated that she hadn’t offered to just throw it up.
“Maybe I can help” you enquire, eagerly fumbling the mark 1 ring between your fingers and moving a step closer to her. She instantly raises an eyebrow and throws you her trademark look of accusation “Let me guess” she started sitting herself up whilst unsuccessfully trying to cover her midriff with her vest. “You have come up with some clever cure for over-eating and once again I’m going to end up as the guinea pig in another elaborate experiment of yours?” As normal your mothers intuition was spot on, but you can’t see how she could ever predict what you were about to ask her to do. “Well what’s the plan Lucian? I can tell you’re bursting to get something off your chest.”
You take another deep intake of air, you can’t believe your about to ask you mother if she will welcome you into her body in the same fashion she does Twinkies, but it’s now or never. “Okay, that ring, the one you swallowed, was actually a device I can use to shrink myself. It also has a bunch of other features, for example, it should basically protect me against a long list of dangers a tiny person would encounter.” You pause again expecting a challenge to your brilliance but she continues to give you her full focus. “I have an older version of it here, it basically does the same minus the protection element.” Your mothers expression changes to something between amazement and suspicion. “So that ring, and the one in my belly, will make you… tiny?” She was now leaning towards you with expressed interest. “Yes, and I was thinking that if I used this ring I could shrink myself down to around an inch and I could go inside.. I mean if you were to…” suddenly you can’t get your words out, there are a few seconds where find yourself just awkwardly gazing at your moms food baby. Luckily Trina was able to fill in the blanks for you “So…. Let me see if I understand this… You want to shrink yourself..” she indicated a tiny object with her thumb and forefinger. “Go inside me…” she then pointed towards her mouth and silently gestured the motion of swallowing. “And search around in here to get your ring back!?” She drew a circle with her finger on her tummy, as if to indicate the circular motion she expected you to take once inside. The response was direct and well illustrated but without the expected anger or outright dismissal. “Well I thought it would be an option, it would be a perfect opportunity to test both versions of the ring and to be honest, this was the reason for making them in the first place.” You quickly try to explain your reasoning before your mother explodes on one of her predicable tirades, but instead she looked and spoke surprisingly calm… indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
