Believing there might not be a better time to get away, Jack commits to going down the middle of the couch. Making sure Sarah's mom and sister were distracted, Jack quickly made his way over to their neck of the woods and hid behind the nearest pillow. Turning the corner for a peek, Jack observed that the two were still distracted. Now was his chance. Jack came out from his hiding spot and made a break for the climbing spot. With haste, he made it to the edge and began his descent.
Luck was not on his side, however, and Jack was noticed. He was no more than a quarter of the way down when a shadow enveloped his area. Jack froze, then peeked above to see what was clouding his space. It was the hand of Sarah's baby sister. Panicking, Jack doubled his pace and continued descending. That didn't go so well, and not even a few seconds after reinitiating, Jack was caught. The hand grasped around him and squeezed, followed by a quick ascent up to the toddler's face. Jack noticed a gleam in her eyes, obviously excited by whatever new thing she had caught. Jack faintly waved, not exactly sure how to handle the situation.
The infant smiled giddily and chuckled. Jack noticed Sarah's mom peer over and once again froze. This time, Jack was fortunate enough that her mom didn't take a closer look at what Sarah's sister had in her hand and went back to what she was previously focused on. Jack sighed a breath of relief, but it wasn't over yet. Sarah entered the room and discovered Jack's absence from her side of the couch. Jack looked over and noticed Sarah's disgruntled visage, clearly fuming with annoyance. Jack turned back to the infant sister and tried to motion for her to put him down, but she didn't entirely understand. Instead of putting him down on the couch, Sarah's sister giggled and began bringing him closer to her pull-up.
Jack yelled, to no great effect, and could only watch as the infant pulled back her pull-up and thrust him inside. Noticing the commotion over near her mom, Sarah came over. Out of the corner of her eye, Sarah then noticed a small figure faintly protruding from the infant's diaper and nudged her mom. "Mom," she said, "there's something in Piper's diaper, I'll go change her". Sarah's mom looked over at her but shook her head. "That's okay, hon, I'll do it" she responded and grabbed Piper. Sarah, now stuck without her "friend", anxiously waited as her mom walked away with Jack within her sister's pull-up.
When Sarah's mom got to the changing room, she set Piper down and went to grabanother pull-up. When she gets back and changes Piper, does she notice Jack?
