Considering Jack was barely able to grasp onto Mariah's crop top to begin scaling, he had to squeeze extra hard the first little ways upwards to maintain balance. This stronger squeeze created an itchy sensation on Mariah's back which easily caught her attention. Jack became startled when seemingly out of the blue Mariah's back twisted and around came her right arm to attend to the disturbance. "Oh my god," he whispered as the tan hand of his best friend swung right at him. There was nothing he could do about it though, he had nowhere to escape to. Mariah's pointer finger landed on him and started rubbing him into her back, trying to relieve the annoyance. When she did, though, Mariah immediately felt Jack's body underneath her finger and clipped him between her pointer finger and thumb to get a closer look about what it was that was on her back.
Holding her little friend a little ways away from her face, Mariah cowled in disgust. "God, the bugs here are getting weirder and weirder, I swear." She clenched Jack in her fingers, signaling she was about to flick him away. "Mariah, stop! Don't do it!" Jack cried out. It was too late though. With one effortless flick, Jack was sent into the air towards the back of the classroom, courtesy of his best friend confusing him for an annoying bug. As he was sent flying through the air, Jack felt like he was going in slow motion. That was until he hit the chair.
*SLAM*
A sudden rush of pain jolted through Jack. He quickly skidded to a stop on the wooden surface, but could hardly move through the sharp, throbbing pain that was surging throughout his entire body. He hadn't thought he had broken anything, but it sure felt like it. For a few minutes, Jack managed to crawl a little ways along the seat, but ultimately succumbed to the intense pain and passed out. When he awoke, Jack was in for a stark surprise...
