You decide that your best bet is to stick to the path. You don't know the territory well enough to wander off through the trees like that.
The paths wind and curve around as you head towards the mountains but you slowly make your way through it...
***
You must have been following the path for a few hours now. In the woods in the distance ... you hear a crack of Bamboo. You refrain from staring at it. You are pretty sure that that you are not alone in these woods. Someone/Something has been following you for at least a half an hour and appears to be staying just out of sight. You heard a faint crackle of bamboo several time and you don't think it is animals or the wind causing it. It is too controlled. The way the faint noises stop instantly the few times you glanced in its direction... ensure that whoever is shadowing you has to be trained at stealth.
How do you want handle this?
1) Call out to whoever is watching you... let them know they are not as stealthy as they think they are.
2) Continue to act and move like you are not aware you are being followed. Wait for whoever is doing it to to reveal themselves on their own.
3) Throw a Kunai towards the next noise you hear either putting an end to an unwanted follower right away or forcing whoever is following you to reveal themselves...
