It was a normal day in Royal Woods, Michigan. Clyde was on his way to the Loud family's house to watch the newest episode of his favorite TV show, "ARGGH!" with his best friend Lincoln.
Meanwhile, a certain four-year-old genius was up in her room working on her newest creation.
It was a machine capable of reducing organic and inorganic material to minuscule sizes. She named it the "Matter Reduction Ray".
Lisa smiled as she placed a small apple on top of a stool. If everything goes as planned, the apple would be reduced to a fraction of its original size. Lisa put on her safety goggles and turned on the machine.
A powerful blue beam of light struck the apple. It was reduced in size almost instantly. Lisa squealed with excitement and rubbed her hands together, happy with her accomplishment.
Suddenly sparks started to fly from the machine as it started to overheat. Smoke started to come out from the machine as it spun around.
"That can't be good," Lisa said.
The machine continued to spin around as it shrunk Lisa's bed and many other items on her desk, down to a minuscule size. The smoke started to clear and the machine wired down. Lisa peeked out from under the crib. She was relieved to see that nothing important was shrunk.
Unbeknownst to Lisa, the ray had shot a beam out her open window. From there the beam traveled across the street and bounced off the neighbor's front window.
The beam was now headed straight for Clyde who had just rung the doorbell of the Loud's house.
Clyde yelped as he was engulfed by a bright blue light. He dwindled in size until he was an inch tall.
The tiny boy groaned as he picked himself up off the ground.
"What just happened?" Clyde asked himself.
Clyde looked up and his eyes widen in surprise. In front of him was the Loud's front door, only it was a hundred feet tall.
"I've been shrunk!" Clyde said starting to panic.
He took off his glasses and pulled a small handkerchief out of his pocket and wiped the lenses before putting them back on.
"No, I'm not seeing things!" Clyde said putting his hands on his head. "I've definitely been shrunk!"
The massive door swung open and Clyde looked up at the gigantic figure before him.
