Change of scenery

Your name is John and you had just discovered the ability to possess any fictional character by looking at said character through any medium. It could be a book and reading the description provided or simply looking at a picture or accurate drawing and simply willing for the possession to begin. The best part about this ability is that everything about this being you possess is at your disposal. Personality, body, finances, smarts, all of it was at your fingertips. Another fascinating thing was that if you ever got bored of your life, you could leave back to your original body and do it again.

Since your first day of college started in thirty minutes, you begin to have cold feet. Why should i go to college when i can become anyone in an alternate reality. Moving over to your computer/bookshelf you browse before selecting?
