You head up to your room- usually you have to wait for mom to change you into a new diaper but because you have practice, you wear a pull-up. They allow for more mobility and usually hold for long enough, with the rare occurrence of a leak, which you explain with spilled water or sweat. You rip off your diaper and throw it in the diaper pail, then slide up the pull-up.
Your mom had already put your football pants on top of the dresser, so you slide those up- hiding the Mickey Mouse on the front. A few years ago, there was a chance there would be a Disney Princess on the pull-ups as Kyra was still wetting the bed but fortunately she grew out of that, so you don't have to alternate on which kind mom bought.
You start looking for a tshirt to wear but you went through those during the week. You found a light blue adidas shirt that you were pretty sure Kayla got for Christmas, but it was the best that you could find. You threw it on and went over to the sock bin to find something wearable.
Socks were one of the few items of surplus in their house. It seemed that all of them had a liking for crazy socks- so this was the most popular gift for the bunch on holidays and birthdays. They were cheap and the kids loved them, so almost everyone added this along with whatever other present was bought for them. They had so many, ranging from character ankle socks to knee high fuzzy toe socks. Having so many, finding matches became a chore, so they opted to just pile them in a tub next to their dresser.
Finding socks to wear in front of the football team was normally a chore as it was because they didn't have many- but an additional practice at the end of the week made it nearly impossible. Grabbing the best option, he put on one crew sock with teal mermaid scale design and a pink crew sock with ribbons on it- he figured the guys wouldn't know about the mermaid scale design and could pass the other off as breast cancer awareness, and if all else failed he could say he grabbed two from the dryer and thought his clothes were in them.
With that, he slid on his crocs, grabbed his pads and his cleats, and began walking to practice.
They got through practice without a hiccup. After practice his friend Brett asked if he wanted to hang out. He really did but he also needed to get home and out of his now used pull-up. Brett lived far away and he would need a ride but he wasn't sure his mom would give him one. He knew Brett had a little sister who was in pull-ups, he could just try to bum a few off of her and borrow his clothes.
