Chapter #4

The Desk of the Unaware Mox

You run up to Judy’s desk, you can’t believe how long it takes for you to get there. To the giant girl it was only three steps, to you it feels like three blocks. When you finally make it to the black wire of her monitor, you look up, dreading the climb ahead. Covering that distance is going to take some time, and if you fall, you doubt anyone would notice the bloody speck on this dirty floor. You get over yourself, and hug the big black tube, shuffling you way upward. As you travel the long way up, you look around the room at the massive size of it all. Every now and then, Judy’s leg shift around, you wonder what’s going on in the braindance she’s editing.

After twenty minutes of shimmying up the black rubber, you’re finally able to drop down behind her monitor. As you walk around, onto the open desk you get a better view of her. The closed off, but cute looking Mox, sits in front of you like an imposing god, blind and unware to the mortal on her desk. You look around for something you can use. You see an opened bag of chips, which you can steal from if you’re hungry. Behind you lays Judy’s keyboard, which makes you wonder if you weigh enough to press down the key to end her braindance. You look up at the colorfully haired girl one last time before you make up your mind.
