You’ve always aimed high and shot big in life, the one thing is, you fail every time. Moving from one big China city to next, you just never seemed cut out for the high life. So, a few years ago, you decided to go a different route, and move to a quiet village to live out the rest of your life. This isn’t just any ordinary village however, this village is protected by the Furious Five and the Dragon Warrior!
Since living here, you’ve been fascinated by the group. Any chance you could get to see them in action, you quickly took it. Hell, you’ve even risked your life by watching battles on the sidelines. You just really couldn’t get enough. There was Viper, the super, slithery star who could neutralize enemies swiftly and efficiently. There was Mantis, the microscopic menace, you are constantly baffled by his ability to take down opponents ten times his size like nothing. There’s also Monkey and Crane, Monkey’s springy agility and Crane’s light, speedy attacks are often showcased together and they clearly make a good team.
Those four are heavily respected in their own lights by the village residents. But everyone knows the two who really steal the show. Master Tigress and the Dragon Warrior himself, Po Ping. Watching these two work their magic is comparable to watching the brush of a world renowned artist glide it’s way across a paper. Safe to say it was art. You one time caught yourself drooling while watching them, doesn’t help you find them incredibly attractive as well.
But today is going to be the best day of your life, because while eating noodles at Po’s old restaurant job, his dad placed a ticket in some lucky customers dish as a contest. That contest? A whole days tour of the Jade Palace and to meet every member of the team! You ate your way through five servings of noodles to be the winner of the ticket. You were about to give up before you got a bitter taste in your mouth. You thought you just ate a bad noodle, but when you spat out the contents, the ticket flew out too! You were the sole winner of the contest and today is the day your dreams come true.
You didn’t pack anything for the experience, you didn’t want no autographs, no gifts, no handouts, you just wanted the day of your life. This seemed even smarter when you realized you had to march your way up miles of stairs just to get to the palace. But you were determined. You clenched your fists and started your trek up the mountain. It was going to be worth it.
*Fast forward to the top*
You almost to the top now, you’ve resorted to crawling on all fours, this was unbearably difficult. Why the hell does this have to be the only way to get to the Jade Palace. An elevator would be nice for visitors at least. The last two steps were the most physical pain you have felt, the last bit of strength you had left was used to pull you up the slightest bit. But you finally made it. And there you lay, feet away from the doors of the famous Jade Palace, catching your breath.
Not expecting someone to be at the door to greet you, you see yourself in, they could be training after all. Upon entry, you are bestowed the site of impeccably large murals that pan from the floors to the ceiling. You are dwarfed by the crimson and gold pillars that are spaced around. While walking through the aisle, you stumble across a row of scrolls. Just to think, the Dragon Warrior probably studies these every day! Awestruck, you can’t help but go up to them. You grab one of them randomly and began to fiddle with it. The urge to open and read it consumes you, but as you read the sacred text, something happens.
