She lowered her feet to the ground until they were just a couple of inches away, and then stopped.
Maybe this isn't the best idea? she thought.
Then she shrugged and pressed her Maxim glue-covered bare feet to the floor. She felt a strange tightening of her skin as the glue instantly bonded her feet in place. She tried to pull away in shock but the glue had already done its work. Both feet were completely stuck from heel to toe. She leaned down to examine the bond. The glue had no give to it. She tried to lift her foot but the skin stayed in place, stretching by nothing more than its natural elasticity.
Now let's see what it takes to get out of this stuff.
She stood up and pulled as hard as she could, leaning with every ounce of strength she could manage. Her skin strained against the bond, but did not budge in the slightest. She kept trying again and again, stretching and struggling in every direction she could manage, getting increasingly frantic as she fought, but absolutely nothing she did had the slightest effect on the glue.
Uhhh, maybe I should see if there's anything in the guide about how to get out of this stuff.
She opened it up to the first page and saw a warning she had not seen the first time she had looked through it:
Warning: Maxim Glue forms a permanent, unbreakable bond that cannot ever be undone and will bond any two surfaces together, including human skin. Be sure to cover all exposed skin because if your skin gets stuck in Maxim Glue you will be stuck in it forever.
A chill ran down Qiao's spine. She looked down at her feet.

She started struggling more frantically than ever, in the process knocking over the batch of glue she had whipped up, spilling it all over the floor. She was so busy struggling that she didn't notice...
