You figured the best way to get Chloe’s attention would be to get up onto her desk and wait for her there. Her job as a programmer and her Twitch streamer meant that she would likely spend most of her time at her desk, so she’d be most likely to spot you there.
You began to make your way over to the desk, dodging discarded clothing and other litter that Chloe had just left on the ground when she was done with it. Looking around the room as you made your way to the desk, you noticed it was very dimly lit, with the curtains closed. This, combined with the black wallpaper and dark grey carpet, gave the room an incredibly dark atmosphere.
There were many, purple lights underlightning various shelves covered in anime merchandise and comic books. The majority of these lights however, were centred around her desk and gaming pc on top of it. The light being focused on the things around the room meant that the floor was cast in shadow, which meant two things. First of all, it made navigating the floor difficult for you, as each obstacle was in darkness, often making it difficult to tell what it was. Secondly, it meant that, should Chloe come home before you could make it to her desk, or at least somewhere with better lighting, she would be very unlikely to see you.
After around fifteen minutes of clambering over unwashed clothes, backtracking when you encountered obstacles you couldn’t get past, and one terrifying moment where you ended up dropping into the inside of a foul smelling shoe, all the while struggling to see where you were even going on the shadowy floor of the room, you made it to the base of Chloe’s desk. You could hear the faint whir of her computer’s fans, indicating it was turned on, so she likely wouldn’t be gone for long.
You stood for a moment, trying to figure out how to climb the desk, before noticing a hoodie hanging down off of the seat of the chair, the sleeve reaching down to the floor, well within your reach. From there you could most likely climb the back of the chair to the desk, since it was pushed under the desk.
Clambering up the sleeve to the seat of the chair took several minutes, and by the time you made it you were exhausted.
You collapse onto your back and stare at the ceiling for a few minutes to regain your composure, before you heard the slam of a door closing. Getting up and looking across the room from your vantage on the seat of her chair, you see Chloe Kim saunter into the room. Framed by the faint purple light permeating the room.
Her short, black hair was pulled back into a bun, which bobbed ever so slightly as she walked. Her emerald eyes lazily scanned the floor as she walked, looking for obstacles for her feet, clad in her well worn black keds, to avoid. Seeing those shoes once again reminded you that poor Andrew was probably still stuck under them, you would have to remember to get Chloe to look for him, and hopefully you two could get him out from between the treads.
It was a hot day and as such she was wearing a simple pair of purple shorts, which only covered about half way down her ample thighs, and contoured with her rotund, jiggly backside. Her green top, emblazoned with the logo of an anime you didn’t recognise, looked slightly too small on her, and allowed a small part of her pudgy muffin top to poke out from over her shorts. In one hand she was clutching a box, holding it against her hip, she had clearly been away picking up a package.
You began to panic, hoping that she wouldn’t approach the chair to sit down right away, because you would have nowhere to go if she did, and the lights from her desk didn’t illuminate the seat of her chair, so she wouldn’t likely see you either. You ran to the back of the chair and started the difficult climb up the back of it, despite your arms still aching. Looking over to Chloe as you did, praying she would go anywhere else in the apartment, which she thankfully did.
You saw her cross the room to her bed and set the box down, and then look around the room for something to open it with. You stopped focusing on her and kept climbing.
It took you another several minutes to climb the back of the chair, and the whole time your climb was accompanied by the sounds of shuffling as Chloe searched through the mess for whatever she was looking for.
Finally you clambered onto the edge of the desk, and through ragged breaths looked over at Chloe, who had just discarded the box as she marvelled at a new gaming headset she had ordered.
Standing up from her bed, Chloe began to walk over to the desk.
Deciding there was no point in hiding from her, and it was probably best to get her attention as soon as possible, you ran in front of the keyboard.
“Chloe! Hey, over here!” You shouted and jumped, waving your arms to get her attention. Her bored eyes flashed with recognition and she began to scan the room for the source of the voice, eventually locking on to you, standing on her desk.
“Oh. Hey Anthony,” she spoke with her usual monotone voice. The fact that she identified you from so far away showed that she could be very perceptive when she could be bothered to be. “What’s up? Why are you in my apartment?”
She began to approach her desk, stopping right next to the desk, she stared down at you, with an almost bored expression on her face. Even at Chloe’s relatively short height of 5’5”, she still towered over you, even at your high up position on the desk. You were around level with her midriff, and if you stared straight ahead at her you would be looking directly into the cavern of her belly button. Looking back up to her face, her chin slightly obscured by the swell of her chest due to her proximity to the desk, you were slightly intimidated, as you were by most normal sized people to be honest.”
“I, uh... I was wondering if you wanted to hang out? I had a free day and I thought it would be a good idea to get to know you better,” you smiled sheepishly, before remembering Andrew. “Also, I noticed you stood on Andrew on the way past my apartment earlier today, so you might want to check if he’s still there.”
1) Glancing down at her keds, Chloe shrugs. “Eh, he’s not bothering me down there. But sure, I can hang out, I’ve got a stream scheduled though, but you can sit in on it if you want?” Chloe leaves Andrew under her shoes. She is streaming on Twitch and you sit on her desk. Her audience spots you pretty quickly.
2) “I mean he isn’t bothering me, but if you want to try and look for him go ahead.” Chloe lowers you to the floor and sits at her desk to start playing a game. Can you get Andrew off or will you end up stuck there with him?
3) “Sure, I’ve got nothing planned.” She shrugs, seemingly not even noticing what you said about Andrew, before turning to go and get a drink. As she turns, however, her hand bumps you and you stumble and fall onto the seat of her chair. Does she notice you when she comes back? Will she even care if she does see you?
