Chapter #2

Alaska

    by: Jason1957 Author IconMail Icon
Jason Voorhees awoke to discover he was chained to a metal table. He tested the chains rattling them slightly but they didn’t budge so he relaxed and waited, the chance would come in time. Someone had taken him from his home but he would be free and make them pay before returning to his home. He took a look around the place to discover more about where he was.

The rumbling and shaking of the room around him told him he was dealing with a plane. He had never been on a plane as a child. They had fascinated him as they soared high overhead and he wanted to be on one to be like a bird but he wanted to be home with his mother more. Many boxes lay around the room but there were no people until he turned to the other side of the room. A girl drawing close to her teenage years stood watching him.

“They thought you were dead but I knew better,” the girl had long dark hair that covered the left side of her face. “You were just sleeping. I know you want to go back home but I can’t help you, not yet.”

Her eyes looked closely at the face mask hiding the gruesome image beneath it. The mask had been scarred from many of the battles he had fought over the years. People had used axes, pitchfork, machetes, and many other weapons to take him down over the years but he had always come out on top. She touched it gently with hesitation as if she would harm the legendary killer by harming that which was covering his face.

“Can I look at your face?” the girl asked but there was no response there would never be a response from him. He had never had the ability to speak words even when he had been alive. He did not attempt to stop her as she lifted the mask off of his face. She was not one of the people who had harmed him or his mother. He wasn’t sure who she was but there was something about her that called to him. Something about her was the same as him.

His rotted features didn’t hide the fact that he had been no beauty contestant even in life. His features were deformed and one of his eyes was missing but there was no sign of revulsion in the eyes of the girl only a gentle caring and sympathy. She pulled back the hair that covered most of her face and revealed a scarred visage. Burning marks covered the face ruining the smooth unblemished image of a child.

“My name is Elise is your name Jason?” Elise asked. The hulking figure nodded slightly to the question. “They say you were bullied as a child, is that true.”

Jason answered with another nod, it had been so long ago but it was still fresh. He had no great concept of time only long or short periods of time but the abuse he had suffered and the death of his mother were always fresh in his mind. Anger and rage surged in him causing him to test the bindings again but they would still not give. They were breaking in time all things broke in time when they faced off with him.

The sound of a door slamming shut could be heard and fear filled the face of the girl who quickly slid the mask back into place and strapped herself back in as she quaked with fear. Jason’s eye focused on the doorway to see who would inspire this fear in a girl, this person who reminded him of his own fear when he had been helpless to defend himself but he was no longer helpless. Even chained down they couldn’t kill him, he would never die and when he was free those who had abused him would pay the price of their sins with their deaths.

A large blond man with a cigarette glowing in his mouth stepped into the room. He stalked the room like he was lord of all he surveyed and as Elise cringed from his approach Jason could tell who had scarred the girl they hate was obvious on his face as he looked at the child.

“Well it appears my daughter was right about you being alive,” the man blew smoke in the face of Jason. “I was going to be very disappointed if you were just the corpse that I found you as. I wonder what it will take to kill something like you, I am sure the other members of the Apex Society will have a great time finding out. I hope you prove to be as dangerous as your reputation suggests because I would hate for my guests to be disappointed. My name is Donovan Matthews and I look forward to adding your body to my graveyard.”

Donovan turned towards Elise, “You have done well in selecting this target. Perhaps you aren’t entirely useless and I won’t have to end you, I doubt it but it is possible. I suggest you be on your better than best behavior on this trip because you are very close to joining the graveyard and if you offend any of my guests I assure you that it will be a slow painful process before you go into the ground.”

The chains rattled again as Jason tried to get at the man but it was futile and the man laughed at the efforts of Jason. Hate-filled Jason easily, there were so many reasons for him to hate, but he especially hated bullies and this one was needed to die. Jason knew about love, he had felt it every day that he had been alive before the horrible day that he had to drown. A Mother’s love, a parent’s love was something that he knew even better than the hate within him, it had brought him back from the grave and for someone to give their child hate instead of love was monstrous to him than anything he had done.

“I am glad to see you have some fight in you,” Donovan teased. “Don’t worry we will be landing soon and I will give you a chance to rest up from your journey. The hunt will not start until tomorrow when you will be released into the woods and killed by one of the members of the society. I will allow them to take your mask as a trophy but your body will be buried here in my graveyard a constant reminder of my victory over the most successful serial killer.”

The cold air hit them as they exited the plane with Jason being rolled out to a garage attached to a large wooden hunting lodge. Men and women watched as he was placed in the garage and he was locked away and left in the darkness. It was tempting to go back to sleep to rejoin the dreams of his Mother and her warm embrace. Her arms wrapped around him even on the days when he wasn’t crying from the abuse some bully had inflicted upon him. She was always so happy to see her special boy but he needed to be alert for the time when his chance would come. The fools planned to release him on their own and he would make all of them pay for that decision in time.

Many of the party guests visited him that evening boasting of their prowess at combat or their skill in the art of killing but he didn’t care. Their faces would join the many he had killed before. A beautiful blond woman with cleavage cut low came in to view him with Elise.

“My you certainly are a gruesome looking thing,” the blond said as she took a large jolt of her drink and leaned in close. “I am surprised that he doesn’t smell foul, he has a bit of woodsy scent almost pine fresh.”

The woman giggled as she petted the body of Jason, groping his body causing Jason to futilely struggle against his bindings causing the woman to fall to the floor and cry out in pain when she hit the floor. The fear quickly faded as she realized that he wasn’t going to be free and anger grew.

“Fucker, I can’t wait until you are fucking dead and we can go home from this awful place. God damn it, I am going to have to get this dress cleaned,” the woman complained.

“Why don’t you go back to the party Lisa,” Elise suggested to her Stepmother.

“Yeah, whatever freak,” she walked from the room leaving Elise alone.

“I am sorry for bringing you into this nightmare,” Elise explained to Jason. “I needed help, I was scared and I knew about you. I believe in you, they hunt humans for sport but I know that you are better than them. You can win and even if you kill me, I want you to remove their darkness from the world.”

Jason heard the distinctive click as a chain came loose and the killer was able to work his arm free. Another few moments and more of his bindings came free he sat up glad to be loose from them. He eyed the girl and watched perplexed by the girl continue to unlock his legs. The hockey mask killer had never had someone free him before, try and lock him away or bind him many times before but never free him. He slowly got to his feet and stood looming over the tiny child who pulled a machete from her backpack and handed it to him. The blade was not one he had used before but it felt familiar in his hands and the world felt right again.

“If I can ask a favor, could you make it quick,” the abused child requested of Jason but she didn’t need to worry because the killer had no interest in harming children. He had no way to communicate it but to walk away and start his killing work.
