This choice: Young Cream gets older & bigger • Go Back...Chapter #7Dreams and wishes by: Kirbis   It seemed like just an ordinary day. Cream was on her bed playing with her pet Chao and the television was playing in the background. Knowing her Mom was probably sitting down in the living room watching tv, she thought it would be a good idea to go over there and spend time with her.
"Let's go, Cheese." she said softly to her Chao. As she got up however, she noticed something weird. As she was standing up, instead of her perspective stopping lower due to her small nature, it seemed to continue to go up and up! She looked around her room to see that everything now seemed way smaller than normal.
"Chao..." Cheese seemed to say in awe as he started to fly up to her owner.
"I got, bigger?" Cream said in shock. She then looked up and noticed just how close the ceiling was. She put her hand up and touched her bedroom ceiling with ease. "Woah! I'm really big now!" She then looked back down and noticed she also looked slightly different. Maybe it was just her imagination, but given that she was now bigger all of a sudden, it wasn't too much of a stretch that just maybe other parts of her body had gotten bigger as well?
With heavy enthusiasm she ran towards the bathroom mirror. Had she gotten older as well? She had to go find out. As she got to the bathroom door, she noticed that she had to kneel down and duck slightly to open the door, to which she actually giggled about and made her even happier about everything that was happening. She then got to the mirror, only to notice that she couldn't even see herself that well...
Because she was too big! She had to bend over a lot just to see herself in the mirror!
"Hehe... a small price to pay I guess." She said in a cutesy voice. But then she noticed herself in the mirror. She wasn't just bigger, she looked older now! If she had to guess, probably around 17 years of age, and probably around 7 foot 8 inches tall now. And her figure seemed slightly more pronounced too.
Cream couldn't get enough of what was happening, this was a dream come true for her! She was big enough to ride on all the rollercoasters now! She could go to the movies by herself. She was finally big enough to do anything! But the most important part for her...
"I'm, I'm finally big enough to help everyone, and help my friends! I can go on all the adventures with Sonic now! I'm even big enough to go on adventures on my own!" She was so happy she started jumping and accidentally hit the ceiling, almost making a dent in it. "Oops... I guess being a big girl now comes with being a big more careful." She then looked back at Cheese, who rightfully so had just been in shock and awe this entire time. But she just wanted to know if Cheese noticed the pun. Alas it seemed to have gone over the Chao's head.
Then in the background, the TV went on breaking news all of a sudden. And Cream's wristband communicator that Sonic and the gang had given her started ringing.
"Cream! We need your help in central city! Dr. Eggman is attacking." Sonic said over the communicator.
"Let's go, Cheese!"
"Chao!"
"Not just yet my big girl," said her mother in the background.
Cream turned around and looked up out of instinct. Her tail wagging excitedly when she remembered that she's bigger now! As she looked down in glee to notice her own mother who she used to look really high up to was now no more than at her waist!
"You're not leaving this household without a hug!" her mother said as she opened her arms. Cream then picked her up, while gently holding her and slowly spinning around in a circle.
But as she went for the hug, everything started to slowly fade away... "No, it can't be..." Cream said as she slowly got up from her bed noticing it was all just a dream. "No... but it all felt so real! I was... finally big enough..." Cream wanted to get up and do it all over again. Touch the ceiling. Check the bathroom mirror. But she knew there'd be no point. She started to sob lightly. She had finally had everything she wanted, but none of it was even real.
She thought back to her last adventure with Sonic and the others and when she met Miss Ariem. And how even though she was able to help her friends then, the only reason why that ever happened in the first place was because she was because she was small. Small enough to be used as a puppet by Dr. Eggman. She new that her mother or friends would never hold that against her, heck they probably didn't even think about that, but still... She was devastated by that fact, and blames herself for what had happened in the first place, but she could never tell her friends this. Otherwise it may just prove the fact that she just isn't big enough to go with her friends on those adventures... The only thing she could do was wish. So she looked out the window and waited for a shooting star.
She waited for what seemed like hours, just for the chance of her wish coming true. But then, she noticed herself getting very tired. She couldn't continue to look out the window anymore before she would completely pass out, so she thought to herself that she may as well make her wish now before she falls asleep.
Looking at the night sky she slowly closed her eyes and made her wish... "I wish I could become bigger and older. So that..." she said getting sleepier and sleepier, "So that I can finally help my friends..." she finishes as she finally falls asleep by the window sill.
Unbeknownst to her, a shower of shooting stars had finally started to appear as she had closed her eyes and made her wish. How do the shooting stars answer her call?  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
