Chapter #15Growing up... by: Kirbis   Cream and Cheese pondered a bit about what they should do. After all, waiting for the next day in anticipation would just eat them alive. Why wait when they can just figure out if the book works now!
As they reached the climax of their thinking power, Cream’s fingers snapped. “I know! Let me write that I’m older. After all, it would be nice to know what I will look like when I grow up!”
“Chao!” Cheese reaffirmed.
“Okay!” her eyes lighting up as she put the book back down on a table and started writing on it again. “Cream- is- 17- years- old. There!” she wrote aloud as she put the pen down and then ran towards the part of the wall where her mother would record her daughter's height. She then started looking at the chart, and noticed that the marks on the wall seemed to go lower and lower. Cream was starting to feel and see the effects of what she had written down on the book.
“Cheese, I think it’s working!” she said. Cream lined herself on to the wall, only to find it difficult to measure herself as she kept inching up and up. “Hehe, Cheese, a little help here please?”
“Chao!” he replied to his master as he flew up to her, trying to line up his stubby hands next to the top of her head so she could see how tall she was. “Cha-,” he tried as he noticed Cream continuing to inch upwards, he had to fly even higher now to get to his master. “Chao! Cha-” he tried again. This could go on forever! Cheese wasn’t near quick enough on recording his master’s ever increasing size, she was just growing too fast for him. She started to reach 3 and a half feet in height, and she showed no sign of stopping anytime soon. Luckily for him, Cream was able to read the height chart just fine. After all, her mother had put not just her height on the chart, but her own mother’s was up there too, some of her friends like Amy, Tails and Blaze, and along with every foot and a half being marked as well.
“Woah! This feels amazing, Cheese!” Cream thought out loud as she continued to get taller, now reaching 4 feet even. But then she noticed her shoes and chest starting to feel weird now. This entire time her clothes were growing with her, so why would she be growing out of them now, she thought. Then she remembered that she isn’t just getting bigger, but older as well. Cream then started to notice how her chest was slowly extending outwards, making room for new adult assets to start developing. Her body was starting to match that of what she would look like as a 17 year old rabbit.
As she continued to think, she realized what was happening with her clothes, “Oh! It’s like they’re stretching outwards, so my clothes are growing with me in terms of my size! Just not in terms of my new age… weird.” Then she felt a sharp pain on her feet, “Ow ow!” she proclaimed. Unfortunately her shoes wouldn’t make the journey of her growth, as she busted out of them and was left with her socks out instead. “Oh well, I can always get a new pair later. Maybe I can test the book with that next!” She then noticed she was starting to slow down in getting taller, as instead her body continued to develop in other areas. Her chest went from a small lump, to starting to take a shape more noticeable as they grew to a modest C-cup size. Her rear end was also getting a little bit of treatment, although nowhere near to as much as her mother. She then looked around, it seemed like her growth was almost over, as the rest of her body started to slow down growing, and was instead focused on her height once again, almost like she was having her final growth spurt.
She last measured herself to be around 4 feet tall, but then on the height chart, she noticed she was starting to get even taller, as she passed her own mother in height. She gleamed with joy as she realized that she would become taller than her mother, after all she had always just wanted to be a big girl so that way she’d be able to go on all the adventures with Sonic and her friends. But as she looked around, she seemed to be getting even taller than she could have ever hoped for! Looking all over the kitchen was completely different to her. Even her own mother would have to tippy toe to get to the cookie jar and the carrots on the top shelf, but she would be able to get them with no effort at all now! As her final growth started to slow down and eventually stop, she decided to take the nearest pencil she could find and give it to Cheese to measure her final height.
“Cha- chao!”
“What is it Cheese,” she asked as she took a step forward to look at the chart. The mark Cheese put down read 4 feet 10 inches. That was a whole 7 inches taller than her own mother, and certainly taller than any other girls she knew, both her age and older. “Cheese, that’s really big,” said Cream in a seemingly serious and perhaps disappointed voice.
Cheese wasn’t sure if his master was happy with what she was seeing, “Chao…” he said, trying to comfort the big rabbit girl. But luckily, that was not the case.
“I- I can’t believe it! I’m gonna be a really really big girl!!!” she screamed with all the joy in the world as she started jumping up and down.
Cheese was just glad that his master was happy about this and wanted to celebrate with her. “Chao Chao!”
But then they noticed the room starting to shake up, something they weren’t used to. But the moment Cream stopped jumping to see what was happening, the room seemed to go back to normal. Then Cream tried jumping once again, and the room started shaking all over again like before. She noticed the room was shaking because of her, something she couldn’t help but giggle about.
Then Cream started thinking of what she should do next, maybe write something else down in the book? Sure, she could do that, but she wanted to experience being a big girl first. And her first thought was right in front of her. Why not try to pick out some carrots or cookies from the top shelf? She hummed along as she skipped her way over to the shelves to fetch something for her to eat. But then as she got closer, something seemed a bit odd. Was the shelf this low before? Obviously she grew really big but, somehow it seemed she was still, growing?
“Chao chao?”
“I- I think you’re right, Cheese. I should have been done growing by now. I wrote down that I would be 17 years old, right?” she said as she ran back to the height chart to see how big she was now. She eyeballed her height to be around 5 feet 4 inches, but as quickly as she saw her new height it changed once again. Then it changed again… and then again. She seemed to be slowly growing inch by inch, she thought.
Cream didn’t seem to understand why this would be happening. Perhaps her body just wasn’t done growing? Perhaps she was going to grow up to be the biggest girl bunny in the world. That would be cool!...If it wasn’t for the fact that she was now passing 8 feet tall all of a sudden, and then some. No, something was wrong, this was too good to be true. Something else was causing her to grow now.
“Wait, no, Cheese, something is wrong. There’s no way I was going to grow up to be 8- 9 feet tall! That’s taller than, well, taller than even the tallest human in all of history. This just doesn’t make sense! It has to be the book, but wha-,” then it hit her. The thought she made, “slowly growing inch by inch”, came back to her mind. Then she thought about what she wrote before, “Cream- Grows- One- Inch- Taller- A- Day.”
“Chao?” said Cheese as he noticed her master's eyes light up in fear.
“Oh no, I'm growing even more because of what I wrote the last time! I need to get to the book, quick!” she exclaimed, but as soon as she came towards the revelation her growth also started speeding up, as she wound up hit her head on the ceiling. “Oof!” she exclaimed. She ducked down and rubbed on her head to sooth the pain. But this was no time to slow down. She had no idea how big she might get, but one inch every year for 11 more years, no doubt about it she knew that she could outgrow her house at any moment if she doesn’t stop it fast enough.   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
