On Earth-65, It was supposed to be another normal day for Spider-Gwen if you could even consider it normal for her. For the brief moment of time, she felt at peace with herself as she flipped through the sky and swung through the few skylines of New York. Though her job was still as stressful as ever, those few moments of being in the air…it felt good.
“How do you just get used to this?” She asked herself sometimes as she dived downward and swung herself to gain some momentum for a speedy trip through town, the answer to her question always unknown but one she could try to solve another day. Right now she just wanted to feel comfortable and not deal with anything out of the ordinary-
For a moment, her spider-sense came up and alerted her of something coming directly towards her. “Oh cra-“ She had just enough time to turn her head and see what was about to hit her but not enough to evade it when she was knocked out of the air and started to fall downward. So much for a peaceful day for Gwen.
While she fell, she wasn’t aware at the moment but the blue blast didn’t just sent her falling, it was making her shrink down to an unfortunate height of a small bug. She might’ve noticed as she tried to tag a web towards one of the buildings to break her fall but it didn’t reach at all, for now she was focusing on not plummeting to her death as she was heading right for Bryant Park.
While at first the fall seemed fatal, luck was by her side as she fell right onto some of the leaves that slowed her descent, but it didn’t help that she was still spiraling out of control and failing to web something just as she continued falling, not realizing that she was about to land on…
