Sometimes Gwen needed a break from the usual things, dealing with some weirdos like the Bodega Bandit, complicated friend issues with Em Jay and sometimes from herself. It wasn't that she hated pretty much everything she went through on her world, she just needed to spend some time avoiding some problems and maybe think about how best to deal with them with a clearer and focused mind. Kind of doesn't make sense sometimes when the other world she frequently goes to was one with many supervillains, heroes and sometimes the occasional calamity type of event nearly every few months.
That world was much different compared to this one. A whole world filled with different adventures, different people even if they wear almost the same face as her friends on her world, and one that didn't have to force her to handle the weight of her problems all by herself. That was one she could handle if she ever needed to spend some time getting herself under control and not have a lot of stress on her shoulders. It wasn't an idea approved by most people, but it was better than letting it all pile up.
"One day of relaxation, that's all you need." She said to herself as she stood on top of a billboard with her hand pulling out the pendent around her neck. Her definition of relaxing needed some work though. A portal formed right in front of her and she didn't hesitate in jumping right though it to enter a different world. The trip was quick as always but then there was a weird feeling she got during the dive, not like spider-sense but certainly a weird feeling as she left her earth behind.
When she got to the world of heroes and villains, she expected to have landed on the billboard and take a few moments for her powers to adjust before she go could out and swing away. Instead she landed right on the ground and rolled a bit as she noticed something was wrong. "Wait...this isn't where I usually end up..." She said to herself, perhaps the pendent caused her to land somewhere else? That was her working theory though she realized that there was another thing to worry about. "Did I just end up inside a jungle?"
Gwen was surrounded by gigantic leaves that blocked her way towards somewhere visible, everything looked stiff and rather lifeless compared to an actual jungle however. In fact when she touched them, there was little effect or reaction. "Plastic? Is this some sort of plastic forest?" She asked herself as she started to walk a bit more, ducking down to avoid bumping into anything until she realized that there was something a bit wrong. She jumped onto one of the big leaves and realized that things were very much worse than she thought. "No...oh no, this isn't good..."
Somehow, Gwen Stacy was just about an inch tall and she stood on the leaf of a plastic plant. She was very confused why, did the pendant had some sort of malfunction and caused her to be shrunk like this? If that was true than she was in big trouble and it didn't seem like it wanted to work again like before. She shook it a few times but it did nothing.
