We thought of where to go in Anna's eye. As we were thinking, Anna stretches back and gives out a yawn. As she yawns, the students stare into Anna's open mouth. She unwarily sucks up the SCAS into her mouth. We went to her lungs in a flash. We didn't pay attention to the windows when we went down, so we had nothing more to question except for how the lungs work.
Back outside, Anna finishes her yawn and ends her stretching. She looks at her phone, noticing a new landscape the SCAS is witnessing.
"Is that the inside of my eye or something else?” she asked.
“Actually, we're in your lungs,” answered Mr. Kintobotnik. “Your yawn sucked us into here."
"Oh, okay. I have a bad memory of what the inside of the human body looks like. It's been years since I watched The Magic School Bus on TV."
"Maybe that's worth watching after the field trip."
While they chatted, the rest of us looked at Anna's lungs in awe. Half of the students stared at the inner world while the other half took pictures with their phones.
Mr. Kintobotnik turns to the class. “If you want to know how we got here,” he taught, “when Anna inhaled, the air went down her bronchioles, which are small tunnels that lead the air to her lungs. The air is then taken to the air sacs inside her lungs."
The class listened carefully to what Mr. Kintobotnik taught, feeling intrigued in learning about the lungs.
