Chapter #2

Hell

    by: Monocerotos Author IconMail Icon
Hell, or the Discordant Plane, is a place of endless torment and chaos, where nothing makes any sense and nobody's fully in control. It's a demented realm where the souls of sinners and deviants are kept in check by the Divine Sovereign, but eventually, these "demons" would grow tired of their torturous existence, and find a way out. Thus began the demonic invasion against Miasmia, and the subsequent Astrean crusade. There's no one organization of demons, but rather, they have clans just like Miasmians do, and each of them have their own plans of world domination. Of course, you don't have to follow an invading demon, for demons were ultimately born from mortal souls who are as vulnerable as anyone. Here are some of your options:

Suavis Mutaret: The Tormented
Suavis used to be a wealthy, half-dragon merchant in life, who took pride in his perfume company and the sweet smell that accompanied him at all times. However, his pride eventually led to corruption, and his business grew more and more exploitative, until he was killed by a mob of disgruntled employees. In death, Suavis was punished for his sins, transformed from a tall, muscular anthro dragon into a short, kobold-like imp whose bloated belly brews and endless amount of fetid gasses that spew out from between his grotesquely swollen buttocks, while his filthy, engorged cock twitches and leaks with every one of his rancid farts. Suavis would never smell sweet again, but when his demonic brethren marched into the living world, he might just follow along, hoping that he'd know the taste of fresh air again after his years upon years of malodorous torment.

Melsa Speartail: The Repentant
Melsa was once a powerful lizardfolk lady who had great potential to be a warrior. Unfortunately, she made the wrong choice and attended a college for mages. Soon, she began to feel insecure of her abilities to perform magic (or rather, the lack thereof), and took out her negativity on her classmates, becoming a violent bully who used raw physical strength to overwhelm the squishy novice mage around her. Eventually, however, she went too far, and after causing the miscarriage of a pregnant student, she was expelled from college and died in a traffic accident on her way home. As punishment for Melsa's misguided wrath, she was transformed into a smaller, weaker, but still somewhat reptilian demonic form, and cursed with never-ending pregnancy. Forced to eternally carry a heavy clutch of eggs and lug around bloated, leaking breasts (which she never had in life by virtue of being a lizard) with her now much less powerful body, Melsa began to regret all the violence and misery she was responsible in life, and in a strange twist of fate, became a healer who eases the suffering of fellow sinners with her demonic form's newfound affinity to dark magic. During the invasion, Melsa's skills in healing would prove invaluable to the various demonic clans, but whether she would want to help them is another story.

Tiafa Goldenhoof: The Minotaur
Tiafa, in life, was an earnest anthro horse mare who trained herself in various martial arts and participated in many tournaments. However, try as she might, she could never truly achieve the first place’s prize that she’s always wanted. Eventually, she began to grow jealous of the position of “first place” itself, and trained herself harder and harder until her body could no longer bear it. After death, she was punished in Hell for her self-destructive envy, her soul transforming from a swift, strong mare into a fat, milk-laden cow. In her new form, Tiafa had stop growing envious of others, but instead of her own old body. With a chance to return to the living world, she would finally have a chance to become the champion she dreamed to be...or perhaps she’s destined for second-place, no matter what.

Diavolet Franilo: The Manipulator (Special thanks to Demfro)
In life, Diavolet was an evil, horrid individual who extensively used mind magic to control people and gain himself a harem of both females and males to service him in any way he saw fit. When he was finally killed by a magic-resistant vigilante who sought to destroy him for his crimes, he was sent to Hell as a lowly imp for his unrestrained lust. Diavolet so corrupted by dark and forbidden magic, in fact, that his soul no longer reflected his species in life, but rather resembled a mishmash of stereotypical demonic traits. However, despite his new position on the lowest rung in Hell's ladder of relative authority, he was able to retain his power to control others...literally, for he retained his dark magic spells to control the mind. Eventually, Diavolet was able to earn himself a spot amongst the first demons to return to the living world as part of their invasion, but what he might do once he got there was anyone's guess. After all, you can't expect to order around someone whose entire gimmick is being in charge.
