an icy mountain

    by: right Author IconMail Icon
First thing Ao felt was the icy wind freezing her enthusiast. She was on a the top of a submit totally covered by snow, and it was far to be the highest. Around it, a whole bunch of majestic, yet scary peaks were covering all the landscape.
The scientist was shaking in the cold weather and immediately went back inside her machine.
She looked outside from a window: ice and cliffs
The opposite window: ice and cliffs
Any other window: ice and cliffs
Hum … INA?” started to ask the poor girl unsure of her destination “What exactly is that?
Analyzing in process” the AI took some time to analyze the scenery then shew on the screen the photo of a snowflake.
What you’re looking at right now is snow. Snow comprises individual ice crystals that grow while suspended in the atmosphere, usually within clouds, and then fall, accumulating on the ground where they undergo …
I know what snow is!” cut angrily Ao “What I wanna know is WTF are we doing in the middle of all this ice? We’re supposed to study how magic works, not freeze to death.”
For the success of our mission, a destination had to be chosen. My algorithmic has chosen the Island of Nemellis.
The criteria were: the amount of magic of the area, the variety of magic categories, the surface to explore in order to study them, and security of the researcher.
The reason of the ice around us is due to the high mountain biome in the center of the island which is our current location
” explained the robotic voice.
“That’s a more pertinent response.” responded Ao satisfied of the resume “May I presume from it only the rest of the island isn’t covered by ice?”
“Affirmative, only 15% of the territory is permanently covered by snow.”
“Perfect. So could you please move us somewhere the temperature is more tolerable?” added the girl making a sad dog face.
“Negative, the amount of energy required is higher than the remaining one”
Ao froze from panic! She totally forgot to check the energy left.
“Check … energy level … please ...” she asked nervously
As she feared, the battery was under 15%. But that wasn’t a problem since she had some batteries left … except all batteries were flat.
“FML!” she whispered with a nervous laugh.

Ao felt dizzy. She was stuck in this dimension unless she found a way to recharge the batteries.
“INA?” she feverishly started falling in her seat “Do you know a way to get more energy here?”
“Affirmative, here are two propositions of how you could gather energy in the batteries:
Option 1: building a generator that would provide electricity to the machinery.
Option 2: learning how to use magic from the following category: heat, electricity.
For the last option, I suggest you travel to the East. Here is a map that could help you in your journey.”
Ao got a file on her tablet. she was at the south of a mountain chain and could reach a volcano or a stormy quagmire if she followed INA's indications.
The situation was critical, but all hope wasn’t lost. If there was a way to get the Dimension Hopper working again, she’d give her best to make it happen.

But first:

You have the following choices:

1. She had to learn what kind if world she was.

*Pen*
2. She had to get some food outside.

*Pen* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
