You look into the machine and you see a white-haired man in a black longcoat and pants in a capsule with blue walls and a bright screen at the end. Your father was passed out near the man. You know immediately this means trouble.
“Percival!” you yelled at him.
“So we meet again.” Percival said in his raspy voice. “You have come at a truly unfortunate time though. Why don’t you wait a bit so I can get my due revenge.”
“No way!” you yelled at the man. “I’m sorry my dad got you ousted from your tech company, but you have to let this go.”
“I will never, and you cannot stop me this time.”
“We’ll see about that.”
Suddenly Percival leaped out of the machine to attack you. You fell down several feet from the elevated position you were standing on, but adjusted your course with a backflip, landing on your two feet. Percival soon followed.
The man stepped toward you, swinging a right hook which you firmly blocked. Prepared for the block, Percival twisted his body around to perform a powerful roundhouse, knocking you a few feet away. He followed up with a punch which you blocked and countered. He caught your counterattack and redirected you to the pavement, but you rolled to lessen the impact, ending up on one knee. Percival jumped, spinning around before outstretching his foot in an attempt to strike you on the ground. You leaned back and dodged the blow before springing yourself with your hands, causing your feet to careen into his face. You stood up while he still reeled from the pain.
“Give up Percival. You will not ruin this family. Not now, not ever.”
“Fool, I always return, and this time I know where you live. Your family is not safe, and neither are you!” The man quickly raised both his legs for a double kick. You blocked the first, but the second slammed hard into your jaw. Before you could even question whether a tooth was knocked out, he backhanded you in the face, then grabbed you by the shoulders and threw you to the ground.
“You are beaten boy, and your father is already out of commission. When I have finish you and take his inventions, I will be unstoppable!” he cackled madly.
You knew you couldn’t defeat Percival in one-on-one combat, as he was considerably larger than the 6’ and 180 pounds of you, and had been training for decades. You were still not too badly injured, but you would be if this fight kept up long. You needed outside help.
Springing yourself up, you quickly retreated to the S.S Diminularis, hoping it had an offensive use.
“Oh no you don’t!” Percival ran toward you. You barely clambered up the steps in time to escape your foe, who came in immediately after. Tackling you from behind, the two of you wrestled inside the craft. You attempted to fight him off, but the madman was stronger and began overpowering you.
Desperately, you began kicking in an attempt to get him off of you, accidentally flipping a lever in the process. You heard the door of the machine close, clearly you had activated something. You didn’t have much time to think, however, before Percival started slamming your head into the wall. With each attack, you saw more and more spots in your eyes until it seemed you would pass out, before you see a green light from your last remaining bits of eyesight. The machine shakes and Percival lets go of you.
“What have you done, boy?” he hissed before he was grabbed and thrown backward by your father, who had regained consciousness by the shaking.
“He has activated the miniaturization process. The machine is shrinking.”
“What? To how much?” his rival demanded.
Richard looked at the lever you hit.
“About to...
