After the defeat of the Demon King the world became a mostly peaceful place. The forest of Nepi was usally a peaceful place even during the war. Then suddenly a large number of monsters started appearing in the forest as they were forced away from local villages. At first the heroes left the monsters in the forest deciding it was far enough to not indanger the towns. But eventually the humans realized the monsters presence was poisoning the rivers which meant the villages wouldn't be able to grow crops if it countiued. So a hero entered the forest to lower their numbers. After killing many monsters the hero found himself next to a creek where he decided to rest. Thirsty he casts a purification spell on the water making it safe to drink. He knew the monsters up stream would soon poison the water again but it would be safe for his rest.
As he rested a, small and sickly, female fairy came out to drink from the creek. Usually fairies were difficult to find due to their sneaky nature and usual distrust of others but this fairy seems too close to death to hide. As the small fairy drank it began to look better almost instantly. She faced the hero and bowed. "Thank you so much, hero. We fairies feed off the magic of the forest for strength so these monster have been terrible. If I could have a little of your power I could turn this creek into a safe haven for fairies and in exchange we can give you food and clean water if you ever need help. Please sir the fairies don't have much time left.
The hero notices that at the edge of the clearing there seems to be more sickly fairies eyeing the situation. After considering the hero...
