"Worry not, sire," the maid says, "this is but a minor setback. Such is the glory of your bloodline, the divine right granted to you by the heavens, that you will crush this obstacle much as you have all enemies of the kingdom!"
At this utterance, you finally snap, poking a finger up at the looming face of the woman. "A minor setback? You foolish pleb, I'm not even as tall as your thumb! Enemies of the kingdom would have no trouble crushing me underfoot, and a slip of a girl like you is hardly going to be enough protection to fend them off!"
Only now, at your literally lowest ebb, are you regretting your previous policy of surrounding yourself with useless yes-men and simpering sycophants. Back when you enjoyed your full, glorious stature, having everyone agreeing with your decisions, never questioning your whims and doing all they could you make you feel like a god, it was perfect. Now that you have been reduced to a helpless insect in the hand of a simple domestic servant, a more realistic outlook would be appreciated. Unshakeable confidence is not going to get your height back.
"I... I am sorry, sire," the maid sniffs, the inhalations through her huge nostrils quite annoying. In fact, from her rough hands to her mopmof straw-coloured hair, she is almost the epitome of a lowborn commoner, her crude accent and tanned skin a far cry from the pale, raven-haired beauties you have previously courted as potential queens.
Yet the biceps of this woman, just peeking from the short sleeves of her maid uniform, are greater than the circumference of the Royal Palce's towers. Were she to realise the power she holds over you, things could go ill for you. As well as realism in those around you, perhaps you, as king, need to investigate the concept of humility.
"My apologies," you shout up to her. "I find that I am rather short-tempered at the moment."
She smiles at your pun, and raises your skin-covered platform closer to her face, her rustic features all the cruder as you see them in greater detail.
What will you say to her next?
