Her clothes shrink with her

Belle had read about magic spells in her stories. Spells that could transport an individual across leagues in a blink of any eye. Those were just stories, of course. Things like that didn't happen in real life.

Just like pink lights didn't suddenly appear while voices spoke in your head, Belle thought ruefully to herself.

But that same voice must have cast a spell that sent her to a new location, Belle reasoned. One moment she was in a dimly lit hallway of an old castle. The next, she was in some giant cavern.

Of course, Belle had not been transported, but was looking at the hallway from a new, tinier perspective. But since people also only shrank in fairy tales, and she had never been in this particular hallway until that very night, it is understandable why she might think she had been magically transported somewhere else.

So who encounters tiny Belle first?
