It was a normal day in Tommy Pickles' house as Didi was in the bathroom, giving Tommy a bath. Tommy liked his bath, and he happily played with his bath toys. However, he liked his bath a little too much, as he giggled and splashed about, getting Didi wet in the process. After five minutes, Didi took Tommy out of the bathtub, dried him off, and was ready to dress him in his standard blue shirt and clean diaper she set aside for him. Unfortunately, to her horror, they were both soaked from the bathwater. To make matters worse, Didi realized that she forgot to start the drier. In addition, the diaper that just got soaked was the last one in Tommy's size she could find, as the rest were smaller ones that would only fit Dil. This meant there wouldn't be any dry clothes for Tommy to wear for at least another hour. Didi began to worry what she was going to do, but then she remembered the time Tommy took off his clothes, as well as what Dr. Lipschitz said about this type of situation:
"The spontaneous shedding of clothing by infants is a natural outgrowth of their desire to control their physical environment and explore their personal space."
In other words, it's perfectly normal for a baby to be naked when he or she grows up.
"Thank goodness Stu's at that toy convention for a few days." Didi thought. She knew Stu wouldn't be happy with her for allowing Tommy to run around naked, but as he was away, he wasn't there to object.
"Okay, Tommy. I guess you'll get to have a little nakie time in the playpen until I can get you something to wear." Didi told Tommy, who smiled upon hearing this. Didi then took Tommy to the living room and set him down in the playpen right before she went into the laundry room to start up the dryer.
