Interruption

Destra and Artarii were both warming up for the first challenge, with Artarii throwing provocative looks at Destra, and Destra pointedly ignoring Artarii, when they hit.

It was no secret that the Crown Prince was little loved by the higher echelon nobility of the Romanica Kingdom. Add in the fact that if anything happened to the Crown Prince it might throw the whole line of succession into disarray, and it was understandable why certain people both inside and outside the Kingdom would want something to happen to the Crown Prince.

Which explains why a group of mercenaries were emerging from the forest heading straight toward the Crown Prince.
