You were at home, you figured you should just tell her so you can talk in person and she can cry all she wants but you won’t change your mind. It will be the last dramatic fight in your relationship and then you can move on with your day.
“I’m at my house. Come over if you really want to talk in person.”
“I’ll be there in 10 minutes” she replies.
10 minutes pass and you hear some angry and frantic knocking on your front door. You go answer it so see Nicole standing there, her face red with anger and giving you evil eyes.
She was wearing a red hoodie with gray sweatpants, her usual attire when she is sitting around at home. Her hair was messy indicating she was probably laying in bed before she came over. She pushed you out of the way and stomped over to your couch and sat down without saying anything. You closed and locked the front door and turned around to go sit on the couch across from her and begin what would surely be a very dramatic conversation.
“So, you’re the one who wanted to talk in person. What do you want to talk about? I’ve already made up my mind and you’re not going to change it. We are breaking up, Nicole.” You start off by saying.
“Well at least have the decency to say it to my face then! I was not about to get dumped by some loser like you over text message. No way!” She replied. She crossed her arms and stared into your soul with her piercing blue eyes.
“Well, I don’t want this to be dramatic. I just think that we would both be better off if we moved on and saw other people.” You say. She just stared at you and didn’t say anything. “Are you okay with that?”
She continued to stare at you without saying anything, clearly thinking of a reply. “Oh sure, I’m fine with that. But you know what, I want to do something for you, as a goodbye gift from me to you. Will you let me do it?” She said, a small grin appearing on her face. This was strange, you weren’t expecting a “goodbye gift” from her seeing how angry she is. What could it be? How do you reply?
