…… the three lovely ladies in your family, your wife and two daughters. Susan and Janet are getting their stuff packed ready for their trip to Susan’s sister’s place out of town. The two of them dolled up in cute summer dresses and ready to go. Susan notices you and smiles.
“Hi babe! , she says as you walk over to where she is standing in the living room. As you stand in front of her to give her a kiss though her expression changes. “Huh that’s odd, are you feeling okay hun? You look rather pale.”.
“ I mean, I think I’m okay”, you respond. “ Just something odd happened while I was finishing cutting the grass in the backyard, got sprayed by some odd flower I’ve never really seen before”.
“ Hmmmm, maybe it’s just an allergic reaction to it. I’m sure you’ll feel better in a few hours I don’t really notice anything wrong with you otherwise. Anyways, Janet and I are heading out for about 5 days or so, if you need anything love just text me ok?”.
“ No problem babe! You two have fun”, you respond to your wife as she embraces you for a kiss. She takes a step back after the kiss to take another look at you and she looks surprised a bit.
“Gee that’s odd, usually I have to stand on my tippy toes to kiss you, didn’t you used to be a lot taller than me?”, Susan asks you as you notice that she appears to be not as short as she usually is. “ Oh well no matter, I hope you feel better soon babe! Bye!”, Susan grabs her travelling case and heads out to her car while Janet says goodbye to you and gives you a great big hug and you notice that she appears to be taller now too as you watched her walk out the front door of the house and close it. Considering you knew how short your youngest daughter is it kind of alarms you a bit of how tall she seemed. No one goes through that kind of a growth spurt, so you decide to go the kitchen and measure yourself with a measuring tape. You figure out quickly that it only reads 5 feet and 8 inches on the tape. That’s not right, you think to yourself. You should be 6 foot even. Are you shrinking? You’ve heard of this as you get older but losing nearly 4 inches in a day doesn’t sound normal. No sooner had you thought of this when all of a sudden that squeezing sensation comes back to your body as you panic a bit and look at the mirror as you watch yourself slowly dwindling down in size. Holy shit, you ARE shrinking! Measuring yourself again, you shrink down another 3 inches, your clothes feel even heavier on you now as you feel anxious about this whole situation. Is this because of that flower you pulled. At this rate, your daughter made notice your reduced stature but you decide to play it cool for now and hopefully you stop shrinking. You walk back into the living room where your older daughter Alice is watching tv and texting on her phone. Does your daughter notice your new height?
