Chapter #3

Nobody

by: Thomas Johnson Author IconMail Icon
Friday evening, the 3 Ruiz siblings ventured into the mall together as each of them needed something different. Natalie had seen that her older sister Bailey was headed to the mall, so she decided to tag along to pick up some cute clothes. Their younger brother Zach ran out onto the driveway as Bailey pulled out, saying that he needed to get a new bag to hold his tools in.

As they stepped into the mall, Zach split from the two of them, as he knew how long they could take to shop, much like their mother. He was more like their father, as he would stop and shop for what he wanted and nothing else.

“You better not have us waiting on you Zach” Natalie sneered. She loved to torment her younger brother whenever she could. He flipped her off as he walked away, which made the two sister laugh.

“So where do you wanna go Nat?” Bailey said as she turned to Natalie, who was busy a her group text with her friends

She hit send and looked around. This mall didn’t really have too many things, but it did have about 1 or 2 stores that were worth looking at.

“I seen an ad for a sale at SubOutfitters. Let’s go there” Natalie said. The two of them then walked side by side to the store.

The two of them browsed and picked up an assortment of items from the clothing racks, chatting on and on about what was going on in their lives. They went on until they reached their favorite subject: boy drama, a reoccurring topic in their household.

In Natalie’s experience, she’d hear it from boys in her hometown about how hot her older sister and mother were, but nowadays in college, it seemed like the men were more focused on her. She wasn’t gifted with a body like either of them, huge breasts or an ass that wouldn’t quite, but her petite and well-toned body definitely turned some heads both at school and here at the mall. Her body had matured in its own right, even though it wasn’t quite like how she envisioned.

The pair of them found a few cute things here and there, and decided to seek out a dressing room to try everything on.They stepped into a large vacant room together, to give opinions of the clothes they picked out.

“I really do like this top. If it looks this good on me, maybe it’ll look decent on you” Natalie teased her older sister.

“Yeah, maybe if you grow some tits you won’t have to shop in the pre-teen section” Bailey retorted.

Natalie returned a stank eye, and then checked herself out in the mirror. Bailey usually resorted to body comments when the two of them bickered at one another, and it would upset Natalie. It wasn’t her fault that she was the black sheep when it came to the women in their family. Still, she did make this top look good, with her slim toned core on full display.

She heard grunting, and turned around to see her older sister struggling to put on a pair of leggings.

“Uh Nat, a little help?” She pleaded.

Natalie laughed and walked behind her sister, placing her hands on the sides of the leggings. “On three you jump, okay?” Natalie said, “1….2…..3!”

Bailey jumped and Natalie pulled the leggings over her sister’s backside.

“Thanks kid” Bailey said, as she turned to face the mirror.

“No problem Bails” Natalie said, smacking her sister’s large rear. Her ass shook around the leggings, much to Natalies amusement.

Bailey laughed as she seen Natalie staring at her ass, “Girl if I could give you some, I definitely would! It aint easy being so bottom-heavy. You’re lucky that you can wear whatever you want and still look fine".

“In a perfect world, I’d have a body like yours” Natalie joked, bringing a smile to Baileys face,

Bailey ruffled her little sisters hair, “Plus you still got time as you get older, I used to be just a bit thicker than you, and now look at me!” Bailey exclaimed.

Natalie smiled at her sister’s encouragement, and the two finished up in the dressing room. They purchased their things, and headed back toward the parking garage.

As they neared the exit, Bailey saw that her favorite candle store was having a huge sale. “Wow! Buy 2 get 3 free? Thats a steal! Nat, wait here while I go in and grab a few” She exclaimed, rushing to the store.

“Don’t take forever, I wanna get home and watch my show.” Natalie called out to her sister.

The candle store was close enough to the exit so Natalie found a spot on a bench and scrolled through her phone. No new texts, updates, or anything. She put her phone down, and instinctively looked around, seeing a sign to a store that she wasn’t familiar with. It was right across from her, and it couldn’t have been there when she walked in with her siblings, unless it was closed. She read the sign:

"Realm Gifts & Novelties? Weird place” she thought.

As she looked through the windows of the store from across the way, Natalie had a bit of an odd feeling inside. She couldn't explain it, but she felt that something was drawing her to the store, almost pulling her. She had this feeling towards a few stores, but not ones like this. She got up, looked to see where her sister was, and then walked into the store.

The store was pretty dark, despite how well-lit the rest of the mall was. Natalie figured it to the store's overall style, which she attributed it to portraying a dungeon type look. Behind an ancient looking counter, stood a middle-aged Korean woman, with pale skin and kind eyes. She smiled at Bailey, and welcomed her into the store.

"Hello there miss, what brings you in to my Realm today?" the woman said.

“I was sitting at the bench out there waiting for my siblings, when I just had to come in here and look around”, Natalie answered, as her eyes continued to wander the shelves.

"Just so you know, everything here is up for sale. If you find it, just ask me"

Natalie thanked the woman, and started to look around. The stores inventory had all sorts of international items that Natalie had never heard of before, but most of them had came with English translations so she could tell what she was looking at. She was curious to see if there were any natural supplements that would help her increase her bust or her waist size, just to experiment with.

While searching, she came across a small box looked like it carried a small piece of jewelry. Curious to what may be inside, she opened it, and to her surprise, were two of the most incredible rings that she had ever seen. They looked like black wedding bands, but on the band were black crystals that shone even in the dark. The glow really jumped out to her and she instinctively reached out and grabbed the box. She looked, and looked all over the shelf, but couldn't find a price tag. Still determined to get the rings, she took it over to the worker at the counter.

"Hi! I was wondering how much these two crystal rings were?”, Natalie asked.

The lady looked down at the rings and smiled. “Was there no tag? Odd.” she said as she opened the box, and stared at the rings.

“I looked all over but couldn't find them. Do you think it fell off?”

"Possibly" the woman sighed, "Oh well. I said that everything was for sell, and that includes this! Take it!" the woman said, sliding the box over towards Bailey. Those of the Rings of Gyohwan! Very special in our culture. They are said to bring loved ones together like never before imagined, understanding life through their eyes."

It was a bit of an odd explanation to Natalie, but it seemed like a nice gesture. She was sure that somebody in her family would appreciate the other ring as a small gift.

“So I can just walk outta here with these? Are you sure?”

“Im sure Mrs. Ruiz. Now go! Be with your loved ones” the woman said.

Natalie smiled at the woman, grabbed the box and turned to walk out of the store. She decided to put it into the bag she already had so that her siblings wouldn’t ask her with questions about it. She couldn’t help but think about how the woman knew her last name, but as often as she thought about the odd instance, the memory would dissipate in her mind. She shrugged it off, and thought that she was just hearing things. As she continued to walk away from the store, it soon faded away, like a smoke going with the wind.

As she walked out, she seen her sister checking out of the candle store that she was in, with 2 large bags. When they met back up, all they could do was laugh.

“Like I said, it was a steal!” Bailey hollered as the two of them walked back to her car.

Zach had already been standing against the car, waiting for his two sisters to return.

“It’s about time! It felt like I waited for hours!” Zach complained as he got into the car.

“Sorry, there was a sale that I couldn’t miss!” Bailey explained as she hopped in as well.

Natalie climbed into the backseat and took the ring box out of her bag to observe it some more. It still glistened, even in the dim lighting of the backseat.

Bailey started the car and the 3 of them ventured home.

At Home

Her sister parked in front of their house, and her two siblings headed inside. She acted like she was replying to text, so she stood against the car as they entered the house. Now that she was alone, she pulled the small box out of her pocket, and opened it. Who was she going to give the other ring to? Each of them deserved it, but she had to make a decision.

“If only there was one that I could just keep to myself” she sighed, thinking about who should get half of her latest find.

Natalie sighed, "Fine, I'll just give it to:"
