Chapter #2

Your Best Friend Leaf!

by: Lover Of All Giantesses Author IconMail Icon
You turn your head, seeing Leaf walking her way close to you. She’s the girl who’s been beside you the longest. She didn’t care about any rumour, or the fact that you were the only guy. No she just liked you as a person, and you liked her.

She was a quiet girl, reserved. Rarely spoke up, but that did not mean she was shy. The opposite of that, she will tell someone if she doesn’t like them. Or she just wouldn’t be bothered by them.

“I think that might be the loudest i’ve ever heard you shout Leaf.” You chuckle to her.

“I had to. You have bad hearing.” You... ‘think’ she joked back. She had a good way of keeping her mood monotone, so she was really had to read. You wait until she’s besides you, when you start walking with her.

“So, how was your sleep last night Leaf?” You wonder to her. Before getting no response. She wasn’t much of a conversationalist either, so you gave up trying to get any questions. “Well, as for me I slept pretty well. I don’t have any neighbours out where I am, so it’s pretty good. You would have to deal with voices through the wall right?”

You looked to Leaf to see if you were gonna get a response, she just nodded her head.

“Like Sleepovers and stuff. I don’t know, i’ve never been to one. You Leaf?” Looking her way she shook her head. This was how most of the conversations go. “Yeah, you don’t seem like that type of girl Leaf. So...”

Now the real problem with Leaf. She’s a cute, smart and confident girl but she is hard to hold a conversation with. You feel like you do the best out of anyone in the school, but it wasn’t easy. “Did you hear about Misty? Apparently she won the Swimming Regionals.”

She responded by looking at you.

“W-What did I say?” You wonder before she shook her head yes. “So you do know. You know Leaf, it’s a lot easier if you talk.”

“It’s a lot easier when you don’t talk about other girls.” Leaf said as that was what she was concerned with. This girl just left you confused and feeling all sort of things.

“Come on, it’s a big accomplishment for her.” You say back to Leaf as the two of you start walking. “I’ve never done anything like that, have you?” She shook her head no. “Right, so it’s a big deal. All i’m saying is, if you see her maybe congratulate her... I forgot who i’m talking to you.” Leaf striking up a conversation with Misty. Unless she was forced to, she wouldn’t.

Looking to Leaf, you sometimes wonder what would be going through her head. She was so hard to read, if you could just figure Leaf out, it would be so much easier and-

“Surprise Attack!” A voice shout, as you feel slaps on your head.

“H-Hey!” Turning around, you could see Janine. School uniform with her scared around her neck.

“Haha, i’ve got you again (Your Name!). You didn’t even know I was coming!”

Yep, the wannabe ninja got you again. She does this every day and... well it borders on the lines of endearing, and annoying.

“I don’t know how you snuck on me, considering how much you smell.” You tease back to her.

“A ninja conceals herself, fully. And I so do not smell, you are just making that up.” She teased back your junior joking with you. “What are you doing?”

“Me and Leaf have a free session, so dunno. Maybe we will go to homeroom an-”

“So cool! I-I have a free session to. Do you wanna practice meditating with me an-” Janine stopped, a shiver down her spine as she looks to Leaf. “She’s glaring at me.”

“She does that a lot. Leaf come on stop it.” You say back to her, as she suddenly clutched the side of your arm, pulling her body close to yours and still staring at Janine. “Leaf come on.” You say looking at your friend. Before giving up. “Sorry about that Janine s-”

And Janine was gone. You could jump to conclusions and assume Leaf stared her out of existence, but you knew the more likely option. “Janine honestly is really good at sneaking. She’s the closest thing to a Ninja I know, but don’t tell her that Leaf.” You say as she let go, you two continuing your walk. The bell ringing, but since it’s a free lesson, you don’t have to worry.

“You know, you gotta stop staring at every person that comes and talks to me.” You say to Leaf, somewhat scolding her. She let you go as the two of you started to walk.

“I don’t like when you talk to anyone else. I keep quiet, and I don’t feel important.” Leaf said to you, still in her own Monotone voice.

“You feel like you get left out. You know, you could always talk to them to, strike up a conversation. It’s not that hard and... well maybe it would be a bit hard for you?

“I don’t like talking to someone, unless it’s you.” She said as you didn’t expect that.

Not wanting to linger on it, you shake your head around. “Well, we both got a free lesson, so what are you up to?”

“I gotta study for my test.” She said back to you.

“Great, which means i’m left alone. What am I gonna do?” Leaf wanted to suggest something, but of course she went ahead and kept quiet. Speaking up wasn’t hard, but when it’s something you can barely get out. It might as well be impossible.

As for you, you and Leaf were the only ones left as you try to consider what you will be doing for this morning. You consider all of your options, and eventually decide on it.

What do you end up doing?
