You turn your way around, a large smile on your face as you see Selene run her way closer to you. You happily wave to the girl as she came over.
Selene was the definition of ‘On a holiday’. She calm, chill, relaxed, ready to do anything. Honestly she was a really good person to be friends with, with her you always have a good time.
Although she can be kinda lazy ever now and then. You have to shove her to make her move sometimes.
She has two types of a hat. A straw sunhat for hot days and a red beanie for cold days. Guess it was kinda chilly, hence the beanie. It still looked kinda funny on her, yet still cute honestly.
“It’s not that cold.” You say back to her as she joins your step.
“I know that silly. But it’s more cold than hot, and I can’t wear my sunhat.”
“Here’s an idea, you don’t need a hat.” You tease back to her, as she went ahead and laughed.
“Or maybe you really don’t know the glory of a hat?” She giggled smiling her way at you. You roll your eyes. “Oh, and guess what else!?”
“What else?”
“I saw the ghost girl!” Selene said, as you didn’t believe her for a single second. You look your way at the girl before laughing.
“Sure you did.”
“I diddddddd!!!!” She said. “She was outside my window the last night, she was really cute! I wanted to go over there and just give her a hug.”
“Sure, and what happened next?”
“Well, I ran my way down the dorms, accidentally bumped into Kahili. Instead of her yelling at me, I just kept running.” You chuckle as you hear this. “Anyway, I go my way down there and she’s nowhere. But I could swear... I heard a giggle.”
And you roll your eyes at this. Selene stepped her way in front of you and pouted her lips. “You don’t believe me.”
“Ding Ding, we have a winner.” you chuckle back to the giantess.
“I saw her. I totally did.”
“Okay than, what does she look like?”
“She’s little with long black hair, and five eyes!” She said as you step pass her. She comes around and walks with you. “You still don’t believe me.”
“I don’t think anyone would. I mean let’s face this, it’s probably not real. It’s just a ghost story passed around.”
“You are so mean.” She chuckled as you laugh at her.
“I don’t let myself get too excited about stuff like that, but uh... you know what I am excited for. Lusamine!”
“Ahhh!” Selene smiled, before went sad. “W-Who?”
“You know, Lusamine. The head of the Aether Foundation!” You say, as obviously the two of you have very different interests. “Well, she’s part of a huge tech company. Their research in wormholes, well it’s ground breaking.”
“How much does it pay?” She wondered.
“I imagine uh... a lot.” You say back to her.
“Oh, that’s great! You should work there after school.”
“That’s the dream.” You smile back to her. “Although, if I go ahead and get an internship from Lusamine, well that would be even better. Only problem is, I imagine if I walk up to her and ask, I don’t get it.”
“Hmmm...” You weren’t even sure Selene was listening, but you were sure she didn’t care.
“I did think of one way. You know that girl in first year. Lillie.”
“Oh Lillie!” Selene smiled. “Yeah of course I know her silly. We are friends after all.”
At this you stopped. “W-Wait, you never told me you were friends of her. She’s the daughter of the head!”
“Yep, you never asked.” She smiled back. “I get along with her great!”
“This is great. Listen, if you get Lillie to put in a good word to her Mother for me, i’ll be in a great situation!”
She heard this, and slowly pieced it together. “So... you ask me, to ask Lillie, to ask her Mother if she will hire you.”
“I-It seems a bit more indirect that way but... yeah.”
“Hmmm... nope.” Selene said with a smile as you frown at the girl.
You drop your shoulders and look to Selene. “Really?”
“If you wanna work there, you gotta get some backbone and ask yourself.” Selene smiled. Guess it was kind of a disappointing plan.
“What’s wrong? your girlfriend ain’t letting you look at her panties?” You hear a voice as you turn around. Selene losing her smile as you could see Plumeria.
“Hey Plumeria, what’s up?” You smile to the girl, seeing her wearing short skirts and a buttoned up shirt. Barely being school approved. “Going to class?”
“Good one skirt looker.” She teased as she walked pass. “I’m gonna spray pant a skull on the side of the wall, probably bust into a locker. You wanna do it, let you look up my skirt.”
“I’ll pass delinquent, but have fun.” You say waving as she walked pass, holding spray cans. When Plumeria walked pass you go ahead and look at Selene, pouting to you.
“What?”
“You know how you get more and more angry as people think worse and worse of you. I think talking to her would be the reason.” Selene said.
“Come on, i’m sure she’s not that bad if you hang out with her.” Granted you have never done it personally, cause why the hell would you. You two are just passing friends. Well, you think you two are friends.
“I gotta go to class, what will you be doing?” She wondered back to you.
“Not sure, what can I do. If... If I go ahead and find Lusamine.” You smile thinking about that.
“You know, i’m starting to think you are in love with that woman.” She teased, sticking out her tongue, as you roll your eyes to your friend.
“Whatever,” She smiled as she turned her way around started to walk away from you.
