You shrugged and decided to just head to class. You have a free lesson, but that doesn't mean you can't chill in class until your actual lesson starts. With that, you spun on your heel, walking casually into the school.
You idly wondered what Dawn was up to... She seemed awfully nervous, maybe even a tad embarrassed. "Hope she's ok..." You muttered. You may love to mess with her, but she was your best friend.
You made your way through the halls, not surprised to not see many other students around. First period is already going, and not as many people like you have a free period. Though there were a few, including Marley, who was organizing her books at her locker.
You can't say you and Marley are particularly close. You two have had pleasent conversation, and hung out a bit with the others, but you don't really have a grasp of what kind of person she is. Still, she's nice... A little bit cryptic. You smiled as you walked closer to her, and she returned your smile.
"Hello (Your name), good to see you." She said pleasently, her tone calm and... Well sort of blank. "Good to see you too Marley. Getting ready for second period?" You asked. You glanced at her locker, and saw it was chock full of books... And what interesting choices. 'Legends of the Flower Bearer...The keeper of the Reverse World...Baron of Nightmares? Who writes this stuff? ' you think. Marley noticed your gaze. "I see you noticed my collection." She says, the pleasent tone a little turned down. "Oh uh, yeah... Sorry, I didn't mean to stare. Was just curious" you said, not wanting to upset her. However she smiled again.
"No need to be sorry. I know my choice in literature is a little unorthodox" she says and pulls out a green, leather bound book. "I take special interest in various legends. Both proven, and spoken word." She said, admiring the tome In her hand. You glanced down at it. "Spells for the accursed?" You asked curious. "What kind of spells we talking? Teleportation? Invisibility?" You asked with a smile. Marley gave a small chuckle. "No no, nothing as simple. While I doubt they would ever work, they are quite interesting." She said and opened it to a random page. "Transform into a pokemon...Free your spirit to the reverse world... Become intangible. They're quite fun to read about" she said, offering the book to you.
You took it and scanned the page. Truth be told, these were interesting. A spell to turn pokemon a different color, to duplicate an item, or to summon... 'What the hell is a Missingno? ' you thought. You turned the page and we're interested to see a two pager for one spell. "A shrinking spell?" You asked interested. Marley nods. "Yes. Curiously, that is the only spell to have two pages dedicated to it. I've been able to decipher the words though." She says. You snorted amused. "What do they say? Looks like Latin" you say. Marley takes the book.
"It's Unown actually. A hard language to decipher.... The incantation is as follows... Sah, Maybala, Dorma Trogora A Imortaz Sretnah, Wretna Thro Hotoga Tro Nhara Magara Akr Hojo Demisisea." Marley said.
You just stared. " Um.... Bless you?" You saidm you didn't understand a single word she said... But to your imagination, you could have sworn her eyes... Glowed? Marley for her part, just giggled and closed the book. "Strange indeed, (your name). Silly as well... But thank you for humoring me." She said. You just smiled. "Anytime Marley. Hey, maybe you can show me more later. But for now I think second period is about to start" you say. Marley nodded. " I would love too. Have a good day" she says, and walks away.
You smile. Weird girl, but nice. You really wouldn't mind seeing more of those books. "Shrinking spell... Heh, stupid." You chuckled as you walk to class.
Stupid as it may be, things are about to get interesting... As for your day? Your day is going to get interesting when...
