It certainly felt like it at least. Everything around you was so grand and shiny.....a little too shiny.
That's not all that was different though, your clothing has completely changed. You now wore a royal mantle and a crown!
Both very nice, although the crown didn't feel real, it honestly felt like plastic.
You didn't really focus on that last bit, it didn't matter. You're a king! how cool is this!
Sure it seems there's no one around but you have this whole castle to yourself! Immediately you began giving yourself a well deserved tour of your new home.
The bedrooms were giant, the ballrooms grand, and the kitchen looked like it produced the most amazing bread. It was all incredible.
"Hmm... I wonder where Fennel is?" you thought to yourself. You'd been through at least a dozen rooms and still hadn't seen her.
"Fennel!, Heeelllloooo? are you there?" you started calling out to no avail.
Eventually you found yourself in the courtyard? at least you thought it was a courtyard. There was grass, a few benches, and a fountain in the middle but there was just one thing off.
The sky. The sky above you looked like the interior of a castle? yeah it looked very similar to the roof within you own castle! what's going on?!?!
Suddenly you heard BOOMING!
The whole castle began to shake violently! It was loud! what was it?! an earthquake?! "What's going on?!" you screamed out.
Just as you said that, it happened.
A giant heel came crashing through the sky! It was a yellow toe closed heel. One that length-wise, covered the entire courtyard and then some. Thankfully you managed to end up under the heel but part of your beautiful castle was destroyed.....
The giant heel slowly backed up. You take a moment to regain composure, scrambling to pick yourself up. your moment is cut short though, you suddenly feel pressure pushing you down.
The castle is being lifted up! And not gently either!
"Who's doing this?! stop!" you screamed once again.
Eventually the pressure ceased and the perpetrator reveals themselves.
"no, no, no, no, no, this can't be real! why her?!" you panic to yourself.
It was literally the worst person it could be.
Ms. Karen!
"Why hello your majesty." She said in a calm smug voice. Of course she wore the signature smirk that she'd always had.
Ms. Karen was always one of your least favourite teachers. In terms of teaching she was great and had even given you helpful personal advice from time to time. But with that wisdom came alot of teasing, and some of it could come across as pretty mean. She definitely cares about her students but is without a doubt one of the hardest teachers to stomach.
"Awww whats the matter? aren't you happy to see me" she cooed before sending two giant fingers to pinch you away from the courtyard.
although after seeing you back away she laughed and moved her fingers back.
"your castle's not look too hot your majesty, what gives?" she smirks, look at the destruction that she caused.
"stop calling me that! it's demeaning when you don't mean it!" you grumble, you knew Karen was look down on you and using that name to tease.
"What? of course I mean it." she says, almost acting offended. "We both have our own castles, that makes us royalty. Even if yours is just a toy" she laughs.
Wait what? Karen has a castle? are we in it? is that why her ceiling looks so similar to yours? and why is it so big?
Then it hits you, this is Karen's dream.
You looked over at her once again, this time noticing the small silver crown on her head. Besides that, her outfit was exactly the same. Not shocking honestly, she loved the way she dressed herself, so her ego carrying it over to her dreams made sense.
You snap back to reality realizing how horrible this is for you, it was a sick joke really. You woke up in a castle and dressed like royalty thinking you had it all, only to realize that its a tiny toy castle within a real castle. And if that wasn't enough, Karen was the giant queen and now had complete power over you.
Still though, Show. No. Fear.
"So, to what do I owe the pleasure your majesty?" you reply cheekily.
"Oh!" she smiled "well I'm glad your getting into this"
"Allow me to make myself clear." she says before clearing her throat
"I, queen Karen, declare ownership over this castle and its inhabitants! Surrender now or fight a futile fight!" she proclaims.
Uh oh. This isn't good. There's no way you can fend her off, but surrendering also does you no good.
