"Dude, we should shrink your brother," exclaimed Carmen. "He would make a great tiny pet." She had always liked the idea of being a giant. Plus, Carmen had to admit she had a bit of a forbidden crush on Blake.
"It had crossed my mind," replied Abby with a grin. "When he was annoying me the other day, I thought if only if he was the size of a bug, I could shut him up." She picked up the shrink ray, and the girls went looking for Blake. He was not in his room or on the couch playing video games. They found him in the kitchen, getting a snack. Blake had his back turned to them, so he didn't see them coming. The girls silently decide to surprise him. Abby raised the shrink ray and fired.
Blake suddenly became very dizzy. He felt like he was falling downwards. In fact, he was sure the ground was getting close. To stop his head from spinning, Blake shut his eyes. Surely he must be tripping out. Or maybe it was just some bizarre dream. It took Blake a second to get the courage to take a look. He had to pinch himself to believe what he was seeing was real.
Blake glanced around the now giant kitchen. He didn't know how, but he seemed to have shrunk. Before Blake could take it all in, he was startled to hear a thumping noise behind him. Two giant pairs of feet were coming straight for him. One set had chipped pink nail polish. The other was tanner and looked a little dirty. Still in shock, Blake did not even try to move out of the way. Thankfully the huge feet stopped before they squashed him.
He had to crane his neck to see Abby and her friend Carmen staring down at him with mischievous grins. They towered over Blake like skyscrapers. "Dude, he is so small," exclaimed Carmen. She bent down and picked him up between her fingers. The girls examined the tiny boy with interest.
"What happened to me?" asked Blake.
"Your voice is so squeaky," Abby giggled. "Isn't obvious; we shrunk you." At the questioning look on Blake's face, she added, "Remember the shrink ray that grandpa was working on? Well, it works. We have done lots of tests with it. The last experiment was to see if it could be used on humans. Thanks for being our guinea pig."
Blake did not like the look the girls were giving him. "I take it grandpa doesn't know that you did this to me."
"Of course not; he just left for Europe. And since Mom and Dad are on their cruise, so I am in charge." Abby reached into the bowl of cheese puffs Blake had got for himself. Each one was about the size of him, so it was terrifying to see her toss them in her mouth and crunch the puffs to smithereens. She then popped the can of root beer open and took a big swing. Abby was enjoying intimidating her tiny brother. She was sick of him annoying her all the time and now was her chance to get back at him. To add insult to injury, Abby leaned towards him and released a massive burp.
"Nice one," proclaimed Carmen. "So what should we do with him now?"
