“Dude, I dare you to drink some of this stuff,” Ollie hands me the shrinking elixir.
I hesitate, “I don’t know. We are sure how it will affect humans. What if it has some weird side effects.”
“Come on, don’t be a chicken,” he teases. “It practically says it is safe for humans. Plus, just thinking of how cool it will be to shrink. I know you want to do it. That last time we watched Honey We Shrunk Ourselves, you admit you always fantasized about being tiny.”
“Fine,” I say with a grin, “I’ll drink it, but if anything goes wrong, you get to explain the situation to the emergency room.” Ollie nods dismissively as I raise the bottle to my lips. I sip down a little of the liquid. It tastes like that medicine they make you take as a kid; a bit too sweet, but not that bad. After setting the bottle down, my skin begins to get tingly. Then I start to shrink. My clothes get too big and slip off my body. Ollie watches in amazement. A moment later, I am so small that my clothes engulf me. It is like being inside a misshapen circus tent. Finally, the shrinking stops.
“Alex, are you alright?” booms the voice of my friend. Before I can answer, there is an earthquake as Ollie picks up my clothes. He shakes me around until I slip to the floor, right in front of his massive feet. I crane my neck to take in the sheer size of Ollie compared to me. He is grinning down at me. “Dude, this is so awesome!” Ollie picks me up with his thumb and forefinger, bringing me to eye level. “How do you feel?”
“Pretty normal other than that fact that I am butt naked and in the hands of my giant friend,” I say with a smirk.
He laughs, “Your voice is so squeaky. I can’t believe how small you are now.” Rummaging in a drawer, Ollie produces a ruler and measures me. “You are only about an in tall. My wiener alone is many times your size.” Playfully he pokes me, clearly enjoying being a giant. Ollie lets out a massive burp; the force of it knocks me on my butt. Next...
