"...This is my ex."

"The truth is," Kylie managed to say, "this is my ex."
Nathan, who just heard that, had not processed it at all. Instead, he nervously chuckled. "Heh... Sorry, I didn't catch that."
She pointed at her second head. She pushed her finger into his check, which startled him. "This. This is my ex."
The ex looked at Nathan and sighed. "This isn't some sick joke. I'm Harold. We were idiots when we were dating--"
"--You were," Kylie interjected. "You were the idiot."
He ignored her. "We were idiots, and we were so blinded by love that we thought we should share a body so we would always be together."
"It turns out that it's hard being in a relationship when you have to do everything together. And I mean everything. It's so irritating not being able to hug each other or do anything separate!"
"You just didn't try to compromise with me! You see, Nathan, she won't even try to write left handed because 'it's too much hassle.' I've had to do everything because, 'Well, you're have the right side of the body, don't you? I'm helpless. I can't do anything with my left hand...!'"
What looked like months of stress steamed off of their body. It seemed like Harold had yet to get this off his chest. Nathan couldn't blame him, though. The one person he could talk to was at odds with him. And now she had her eyes on someone else.
This definitely wasn't the scenario he was expecting when he figured out he was going out on a date with a beautiful woman. However, Nathan wasn't going to let this beauty get away from him because of some strange, albeit ridiculous situation. There was just one question he had to ask. Sure, they were bickering at each other and clearly despised being inches away from each other, but he just had to make sure.
"Listen. You two have to be honest with me. Did you fall out of love, or do you still have feelings and can't work it out?"
