"Hello, and Welcome to Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?! I'm your host, my name's not that important, but our guests are." The host said, and the audience cheered.
"Our first contestant tonight is a 30-something father of three who lives at 742 Evergreen Terrace, located in Springfield, Whatever State It's In. Over the past three decades, he's had countless jobs, but he's best known as the safety inspector for the Nuclear Power Plant. He loves to eat anything fattening and is also quick to anger, especially around his first-born son. Please welcome our first guest, Homer Simpson!" the host said, and the audience cheered as Homer entered the stage.
"Hello, Springfield! Thank you for having me on your show, Mr. Host." Homer told the host.
"You're welcome, Mr. Simpson. Are you ready to play Millionaire?" the host asked Homer.
"Yes, Mr. Host. I need a million dollars and fast. I mortgaged my house and the bank is threatening to foreclose on it unless I give them a million dollars, and the quickest and easiest way is by winning on your show!" Homer told the host.
"Very well, Homer. Here are the rules; you have ten questions, and if you answer them all correctly, you'll win one million dollars. If you answer one incorrectly, you'll lose all your money, but you're welcome to walk away with what money you have if the question's too tough. You have three lifelines, you can phone a friend, use 50/50 to eliminate two of the wrong answers, and you can ask the audience to see if they know the answer. Do you understand?" the host asked Homer.
"Uh, could you repeat that? I wasn't really paying attention." Homer told the host, much to the latter's ire.
"Never mind. Anyway, here is your first question for $100.00." the host began.
"According to a well-known piece of advice, 'if you want something done right, you have to' what?
A. Use a Calculator
B. Double-Check Everything
C. Do it Yourself
D. Call MacGuyver"
What does Homer do?
