Her name was Traja, and she was a portly, middle aged woman who, despite her appearance, was a dynamic force in both political and economic circles. The fact that she lost her appeal where your freedom is concerned was either a minor miracle, or simply meant she chose not to bring all her influence to beat. Either way, you were now a free man.

Still, there was no reason to got out of your way to aggravate one of Rome’s great matrons. You decide to see if Traja would be willing to hire you for whatever task she needed you for. Plus, she might know something about your origins.

So you promptly present yourself at the entrance of her estate, giving both your name and the purpose of your visit. Are you allowed in?
